Ferguson and Johnson... that's fine.

But I think we need and get another one soon.

Any potential NTs cut today?

Dont forget, spears, canty and ratliff can play there and thursday night hatcher lined up at tackle in the nickel.

So we may have only two true nt but as many as 6 guys can go inside and play, besides there would never be more than two nt active on gameday so it is a waste of a roster spot to have more than two nt.

I agree with this.

My question is going to be - can Ferguson be who he was 3-4 years ago, or is he going to be the player he was last year?

And can Pepper play like he looked last preseason?

Regardless - NT is on our radar for the next offseason.

I doubt we do anything unless we trade for one, the ones on the market are just big, that's it

I think we will go with what we have. If it becomes necessary to have another NT during the year we will use Ratliff or perhaps Coleman. We have some big DE's who can move inside in a pinch and we have plenty of depth at DE to keep up a decent rotation if we did have to switch someone to NT.

Not done going through the list yet, but here are a few possibilities:

Damian Gregory, Lions... 6-3, 320 pounds, 29 years old...

Junior Siavii, Chiefs... 6-5, 330 pounds, 27 years old...

Lynn McGruder, Lions... 6-1, 306 pounds, 24 years old...

Steve Fifita, Dolphins... 5-11, 325 pounds, 24 years old...

Babatunde Ohsinowo, Browns... 6-1, 306 pounds, 23 years old...

Siavii and Gregory are veterans, the other three are rookies... I wonder if Siavii isn't too tall to be a good NT, if he isn't more of a 4-3 DT...

We go with Ferg and Johnson and wait til Stanley develops in a year of NFL weight room training.

Most likely, Stanley goes to the practice squad and gets called up if we need him.

released by the Chiefs, no thanks

Might be too tall, and has had some off-field programs anyway... another addition to the list would be Rashad Moore from the Raiders... 6-3. 325 pounds... had two nice seasons as a spot starter for the Seahawks...
