What is a good software program to make videos from pictures that I have taken or have on my computer that I can make and also add music to coincide with the pictures?

None of the Vista software that I have can do that.

I want to import the pictures and the music and then sync them up.

Latest Windows Movie Maker won't do that?

Hmm. I believe Picasa can do this:

Then read this: http://support.google.com/picasa/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=19533

Somehow, it seems that after some time with that software, it goes haywire after a few minutes of getting a movie made...then I think that maybe I might have to subscribe to the software.

I'll try out you suggestions....

;)
Let me know how it worked out.

the windows movie maker does this just fine. it's not what we used to edit my own indie film mind you, but it can be a great tool for just such a purpose.

www.renegaderadio.net/iceberg/7sunsets.avi if anyone wants to see my movie i wrote, produced, acted in and basically just got it done.

Well, I would recommend using iMovie but I guess you don't have a Mac.

I know it's an .avi file, so I don't know why Windows Media Player won't play the movie, just the sound.

It sounds interesting and I really want to see it!!

I updated Windows Media Essentials and now the Windows Movie Maker works just fine.

do you have winamp or anything else that can view an avi? firefox made me download it first, not stream it. still getting used to designing to different browsers.

I just did a search on .avi and found lots of files that do play on Windows Media Player. The only difference is, those files all have capital .AVI rather than .avi

I don't know how that could make a difference?

Just make your life easy and use VLC.

That was good, iceberg!

But, I did not like that they executed an innocent man...if he was innocent.

I could never make a picture like that.

to me, his execution wasn't the focus of the story, just a means to a message. i appreciate your taking the "extra" time just to hunt something down and watch it.

something i always wanted to do i finally got done.

I know...the focus of the story was about a person that is going to die trying to save another persons life by not smoking.

I don't know how you did all that, but, it was indeed a message.

;)

You have a vivid imagination and need to make more of those kind of movies. I could watch those kind of moves instead of TV.
