I have been looking for a computer desk for awhile now. So found one at Target that would match a book case I already had. (Mission style)

So off I went, found the desk and proceded to drag this huge heavy box through the store and checked out. Getting it in the trunk and closing the lid was the next challenge but I was assisted by a Target employee who earned himself Four bucks for his assistance.

Now back to the house with this HHB (huge heavy box) Anyway I dragged it inside and opened it. WOW about Twenty well packed bits greated me. I took them out of the bpox and laid them out and began the assembly process! That's where I hit a wall. :(

All the little fasteners and dowles went in okay but when the actual assembly started... Half the holes didn't match up! What to do? Drill them out!
So here I am drilling holes out at 2am and realizing I needed wood glue! So off to Wally World at 3am.

There is no place quite like Wally World at 3Am. Anyway with the glue in hand I finished the assembly! Total time Four hours. But I thinik it turned out fine. :)

Now, about that matching TV stand...

you gotta be real careful which part marked "B" you use. Its very tricky and especially late at night when you are tired.

Everyone still wants to blame Quincy Carter for everything!! :p:

I had a friend who had a similar problem when building his desk. With the use of tools and brute force, it did eventually fit. Turns out he'd flipped the left and right parts.

I like to buy used furniture so generally don't have to worry about assembly, it's better quality than most of the do-it-yourself stuff you can find at target/kmart/walmart, and and when I don't need it can just sell it again instead of trashing. Got a beautiful L-shaped wood desk originally $2000 for $150.
