There are a few things that everyone needs to think about before they post, and especially before they make it their mission to attack, insult or otherwise harass other fans who have different opinions on the decisions the Cowboys make each year.
We are all Cowboys fans. This is not a "you are either on my side or against my side" situation because we are all on the same side and none of us make or have any impact on the decisions the Cowboys make. When the Cowboys release a player like Ware, Romo, Dez, etc. it really does not matter if you hated or supported that move. The Cowboys, like all other professional sports teams, do not care if you are upset that a player you liked was released nor do they care that you are happy that player was released.
Attacking someone because they are upset because a player was released is as foolish as attacking someone because they are happy that player was released. Does it really matter which side you are on? The player is gone. The decision was made without fan approval or discussion. The fans who are upset about the move have every right to be upset. The fans who are happy about the move have every right to be happy. No matter which side you are on when that happens, none of us had any impact on that decision.
Blame Jerry? Sure. Blame Garrett? Sure. Blame every other player? Sure, why not. But blame other fans? That's really foolish when you think about it.
The one thing I would like to see more of from Cowboys fans is to avoid the polarization we see in the world these days. Those of you who are happy about a player being released, let the fans who are upset about it be upset. It's not hurting you. It doesn't change anything with the Cowboys. Those of you who are upset about a player being released, let the fans who are happy about it be happy. It's not hurting you. They didn't make the decision to release him.
The one thing we try to do at CowboysZone is let fans on all sides share their opinions about the Cowboys and that includes frustrations with the Cowboys. Yes, sometimes the site will get a little more negative than we would like but the whole point of posting on a sports forum like this is to share our enjoyment and frustrations with other fans going through the same thing.
If you are not one of those fans at the moment, the least you can do is allow the other fans to have their space and time to do that because, one day, it will be your turn to do that and you will want your space and time to do the same.
Remember, we are all Cowboys fans! ... We may have different ideas, solutions and opinions, but we all want the same thing.
