These players are human. This is a relatively young team. So it's not impossible for the players to buy into the hype. Say what you will but this game was a trap game no doubt. They looked great on the first drive and it was looking like a blowout. But oops, Turpin muffs the punt and the lowly Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys have a dog fight on their hands. Throw in a few picks thrown by Dak. A goal line stand by the Texans and the Cowboys are on the ropes. Say what you will about Dak. He played horrid for 58 minutes but when all the chips were pushed forward, he and the team cashed in and won the game. Dak's leadership showed on the drive and championship teams needs those throughout the season. Trap games that are won instead of lost speaks volumes in the locker room. Dallas will grow from this. Guaranteed.
Will they beat the much better teams in the playoffs turning it over 3 times? Nope. No sacks? Nope. Getting stuffed on 4th and 1 on the goal line? Nope. Muffing punts in their own end of the field in the redzone? Nope. But they will win games driving 98 yards with the go ahead TD with 2 minutes to go.
The media is going to have a field day reporting on the Cowboys this week. Stephen A. Smith is going to bag on them. So will Shannon Sharp. So will the other shock jocks. But at the end of the day. The Cowboys are 10-3 and still in the hunt.
Ultimately this team showed guts and willed their way for a win. They may have ate some cheese but they drank some wine too yesterday.

The culture here is very distracting, especially for the younger players.

Maybe MM should just shut up about "the cheese" and go back to being a walkabout HC. We'll win in spite of MM like we won in spite of Garrett. But the players have to decide how bad they want it.

From players and MM's and Jerry's interviews last night. They claim this is a good win and it will help them more so than the Vikings or even the Colts win.

I don't buy it, but if they do and it helps, we will see.

Eagles Colts 17-16
Vikings Saints 28-25
Chiefs Raiders 30-29
49ers Saints 13-0

… etc etc. All elite teams have close games against bad teams. They all suffered bad losses as well outside of Philly (Colts, Bears, packers)

its up to the coach to make sure the team doesn't eat the cheest and that comes through action. he told the team don't take the cheese, but then held an easy practice week. no wrong. you practice them harder to make sure they get the message there is no resting. even Kellen Moore rested this week.

I'm sure MM was working on that.

It's a circus atmosphere thanks to PT Jerrah.

This team has a good quarter and they smell their own farts for a week.

The real problem on this site are the fans who eat the cheese, while confessing they are not, then getting bent out of shape when the team doesn't win by the predicted 25 points or more.

The blubbering and the world is ending now posts are red flags of those who bought into the results looking more like a college rout than an NFL game where both sides of the ball are pros and have pride in their games.

Glad we won. It's ok to eat the cheese once and a while and suffer the consequences. We just ate the cheese in GB. When you're going back for seconds or more you're eventually going to succumb.

I can understand the frustration, because yesterday wasn't a game where we gave our best effort. That alone is enough for people to be upset at.

I'll take a loss like we did vs TB over the loss we took vs GB. Games like the TB game become teaching moments while losses like we had vs Green Bay are an indication of a bigger issue that'll come to light in the playoffs.
