First decade of the Simpsons was pure genius... certainly the greatest animated series of all time, and possibly the best "sitcom."

Since then, it's been anywhere from mediocre to downright awful. I stopped watching it entirely about 8 years ago.

South Park is great as well, and has held up well over the years.

Simpsons is greater in the whole scope of things, but if I had to choose a new episode of one or the other to watch tonight, I'd pick South Park.

Almost 25 years! 1987-present.

I remember watching it in the beginning on a snowy, fuzzy, UHF Fox over the old rabbit-ears.

South Park...some of the biggest belly aching' laughs from a tv show I got them from that show.
