Spartacus: Blood and Sand

Obviously I can't post much about the show because of the generally R-rated content, but has anyone else watched this?

I got the whole season on my HTPC and I've been watching it...this show is EXCELLENT.

It gets better towards the end. The ending was pretty powerful.

I watched about 7 or 8 episodes, can't remember. I got a little bored with it as the main thing it offers is gore and sex and not much of a plot. I still think it is a good show and I plan to continue watching it.

The main reason I quit is because I got caught up in all the Lost craze and marathoned it and completely forgot about Spartacus.

One thing I remember is that just about every single dang woman on that show is exceptionally attractive :shades: .

Mike would sit at a bachelor party, and expound on the virtues of chastity and no sex before marriage, while I'll be waving dollar bills in the air.

Gore and Sex is good but if that is the only thing a particular show offers, I will eventually get bored with it.

But as I stated, it is a "good" show, but not "great".

As far as who is the hottest, Spartacus' wife is hot but I would go with the rich Senator's daughter.

Captain Buzzkill, if you thought all that Spartacus offered was gore and sex, then you weren't paying close attention. It taught about brotherhood and the ludicrousness of sports entertainment. Although it's much more tame today than it was back then.

Meh. As others have said, it lacks plot. The action and what not is neat. I don't hate it, I'm just not that into it.

It pales in comparison to Rome.

I didn't like it at first... the direction seemed to emulate 300 a bit too much. But the story (gore and nudity) kept me watching and eventually I got hooked. It's good, but I don't know about 'great'. There are some great episodes, notably the one titled 'Party Favors'.

Anyway, it's definitely worth watching, and I'm looking forward to the next season, which will be a prequel to the first season and center around Batiatus.

I loved the show, can't wait for season two. It is really the only reason I have a premium channel in my cable package. The movies they show on these channels are junk. Spartacus made Starz worth keeping to me. Wanted to name one of my Shepherds Crixus but my wife kept teasing me... his name is Tiberius instead. She doesnt know who that is but loves the name.

yea i loved that show too bad the main actor has cancer and cant continue shooting. =(
