Interesting. If that is the best $ony can do while coming out the box late they might be in trouble. I think giving M$ a head start is a bad idea...a very bad idea.

specs/schmecs! Will the games be worth a damn? Will developers utilize all that fancy hardware?

color me skeptical as the xbox's hardware was far superior than the PS2's and no developer ever tapped the full power of xbox. Visual Concepts started to with 2K5 last year being one of the few developers to utilize the hard drive. Far too many times were game developed for PS2 and then ported over to xbox with this generation of consoles.

I'm taking the wait and see approach. I have pre-ordered the 360 already.

If you have any qualms about the ps3, I would recommend you head over to ps3.ign.com and have a look at a few of the trailers for upcoming games.

My recommendations:

1. Killzone

2. Motorstorm

3. Fight Night 2006

Look at THOSE and tell me we aren't looking at next-gen dominance.

PS3 is gonna blow your pc out of the water. Specs don't show it, but the entire architecture is completely optimized for gaming.

It's more powerfull than the PC and Xbox 360.

The PC will take a little while to catch up.

That is pure bunk. No offense but I know for a fact the Intel/AMD architecture will run circles around the PS3. I wont even get into the chipset and how it differs but believe me. You power it with a top of the line graphics card from Nvidia/ATI and it will SMOKE a Ps3 and Xbox 360. Consoles are consoles. They are not meant to run par w/ a $3000 gaming computer.

Im a huge Xbox fan but there is no comparison when you break it down to FPS and that is where it all boils down to. I can get near 120 fps on my system at home. It was top of the line late last year. There is no way the 360 or PS3 comes close. They shouldnt. The MFG will even tell you that. They are dealing w/ a deliverable product to a niche market. They do a fantastic job w/ the hardware they are delivering tho. The consoles today are fantastic. Just excuse me if I dont believe your past post.

I'll believe it when I see it. It would have to be better than a P4 2.8 Ghz with 2 gig of RAM and ATI 256 mb video card.

Those trailers are not from in game footage. Sony is notorious for promising big and delivering small. This time it will bite them in the arse.

Unless you have a triple core processor that will be a hard battle for your pc to win.
