Spike Lee has crossed over to the enemy Boston Celtics

Director Spike Lee is currently rooting against LeBron James so he can become a true James fan in the future.

Lee, one of the most rapid New York Knicks fans, should loathe the Boston Celtics.

But he wants the guys in green to knock out James and the Cavaliers so that it will speed up the arrival of LeBron in New York.

"We need LeBron," Lee told the Daily News prior to Game 5. "I think there's a better chance of LeBron ending up in the orange and blue the sooner (the Cavaliers) are kicked out of the playoffs. The sooner the Cavs leave, the better the chance that LeBron will be in New York."

The fact that Boston has Ray Allen probably makes Lee's new Celtics a little more palatable. Allen starred as Jesus Shuttlesworth in Lee's "He Got Game."

"I believe in Jesus," Lee said.
