..Patrick Peterson was one of the nation's most decorated defensive players as a junior in 2010, winning the Thorpe and Bednarik Award, and his all-around skills also make him one of the top cornerback prospects for the '11 NFL Draft. Peterson talked to Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer recently about how he's preparing for the NFL Scouting Combine, his goal to blow away observers with his speed and what skills he must improve.

Q: What are you goals as you continue to prepare for the '11 draft?
A: Just keep working hard—working with my father to get where I want to be. I've set pretty high goals going into the Combine. I want to run a 4.2 (seconds in the 40-yard dash), something a corner probably never did. I set a high standard for myself, and I hold myself to it.

Saying it and doing it are two different things. The Cowboys drafting him is practically a pipe dream now, if he runs a 4.2, fahgettaboudit.

Me thinks he got Ryan Hill and Brandon Harris mixed up. Hill is listed as a safety who's probably going to be a Undrafted Free Agent. Still... :puke:

.
I think he googled ncaa cornerback 2010 and copy pasted names in order they came up. No other plausible explanation, not even being crazy

My top four at the position are

1. Patrick Peterson
2. Prince Amukamara
3. Jimmy Smith
4. Aaron Williams

I don't know past that

IF the Cowboys intend to keep him at CB then I would be thrilled to land him at 9. I would not move up to grab him though.

I would like to win the lottery but it doesn't mean it's going to happen.

He'll run in the 4.3's, maybe low 4.4's.

Whatever  this isn't track.

Film doesn't show super acceleration or catch up speed.

I like the kid but he is incredibly full of himself. I've seen a few interviews of him and no one thinks more highly of Patrick Peterson than Patrick Peterson.

He's changed his tune now too. He used to say he doesn't watch any other corners, that try watch him. I think he's a kid that relies on his athleticism and doesn't study as much as he should.

That's a good thing to me... If you want to make it in life you better be confident in yourself and your abilities.

Confidence is one thing, nothing wrong with being confidence.

But when in an interview before Draft Season he's telling people he doesn't study other DB's, that they should be studying him and then suddenly with the combine around the corner he's saying he studied more film than ever this season, something doesn't add up.
