I'm in Dallas until Sunday. Thinking of doing a stadium tour so I can see the locker room.

Worth it?

I enjoyed it. I took my nieces and one of my nephews, so I got the self-guided tour. That one allows you to walk around and do your own thing. The kids tried on the game worn jersies in the lockers and we took pics. The cheerleader lockerroom was boring.

Take a football if you think you'll want to play around on the field. We didn't, but this young dad and his son allowed my kiddos to play with them.

This was also when my nephew got a chance to play touch football with Jerry Jones grandson.

If it was just me and one other person, I would consider the guided tour. That one takes you into the luxury suites and stuff...and you get to see all the art they've added to the stadium.

But even on the self-guided tour, we easily spent four hours there. Kids have unlimited energy.

I liked it, we got to go into the luxury suites as well as Jerry's private booth and both locker rooms and the tour guide was really funny and had some cool facts about the place

Sold. Only problem is transportation. I'll probably head over to Enterprise today after breakfast and get a rental for the rest of the weekend.

Yes! Take a football too (or buy one there)

You can't miss trying to kick field goals or throwing TD passes! It's a must! :laugh2:

lol, being in Dallas without a rental call is like having your feet in a cement block. Nothing is ever close except a convenience store! :laugh2:

Yes, definitely get the upgraded version so you can see the private booths.

When I went I kinda got screwed. The day before there was a soccer game so the turf wasn't down. I didn't get to take a pic on the star so I was pretty bummed about that. I would call and make sure that everything will be there.

Totally agree. To play catch on the field will be very memorable for you. Just something about it.

I remember trying to "dunk" the ball over the goal post. I was pretty close to doing it. I think I only needed to be able to jump 4-5 more feet and I would have been there. It still boggles my mind to watch those guys do it. It is up there.

Yep... took my two boys and a football. We threw passes and kicked FG's... it was great...

We did the guided tour which gives you more access. Jerry's private booth is cool. It has an elevator down to his private suite. The tour guide told us that there is 24/7/365 armed guards in his private suite.

btw... if you get a car, the Ft. Worth Zoo is REALLY good. One of the best in the country if you like that sort of thing...

At one time it was ranked #2 in the country. (The San Diego Zoo being #1)

I love going there. That place is awesome!

Loved it. Jerry's Perch is awesome. They told a true story about some guy saving a picture of Jerry's phone and calling him during a game the first year the stadium was open during a game we were losing. Apparently Jerry was not too happy. :laugh1:

Playing surface is amazing. They have turf at the local high school where I live in Virginia and the field was MUCH softer in the stadium than on that HS field.

Spent way too much money at the store. Haha. Just awesome.

Got some pics too...will post when I get home. Saw a gray fox (scared the bejesus out of me) when I was looking for my family's paver. He jumped out of the bushes making sme awful noise. Also saw Coach Landry's and Tex's reserved parking spaces outside the stadium. Cool gesture.
