48 - 48 going into 3rd OT

Luck just threw a fade to the end zone that looked like a Reggie Miller 3. It went so high it brought rain on the way down.

BTW, either both offenses are awesome, or both defenses suck. Neither D can stop the other O.

Stanford wins 56-48 when USC fumbles it forward into the end zone

That's a disappointing end. I don't know what to think about OT in college football.

Neither team is that good. Bama or LSU or probably many other teams would destroy Stanford.

And I know I'll get killed for it, but Luck doesn't look that otherworldly to me. I know he's extremely smart and hardworking and big enough and all that, but I don't see that big an arm.

He doesn't look like an Elway or Aikman to me, I'll at least say that.

Yea like any of those LSU or Bama players would be accepted into Stanford. Luck has no receivers yet wins with a bunch of TEs.

I wish they would strip the stats from these OT periods.

college OT is frankly a joke. I much prefer sudden death; none of this 'oh the other team deserves a shot' crap. IF you cannot get it done in regular time you have not earned a second shot in OT. So what if a coin flip decides who gets the ball? You lose and you quit? Then you don't deserve to win.

yeah they should have sudden death in baseball too, if your pitcher and defense aren't good enough to stop the other team you don't deserve a chance to bat. If you couldn't get it done in 9 innings you have not earned a second shot in extra innings. Rangers World Series Champions.

I like the OT in HS and college. however, moving the ball back to the 30, instead of the 25, is a reasonable idea. I could definitely live with that.
