I got two episodes behind on Star Trek Discovery. I finally caught up last night.

Wow, man I'm loving this series! That was fantastic, though I have to say. Georgiou (alt-uni) was cold and calculating. Then in 10 seconds that all changed. I mean ***?!??!

Whatever though. I hated when they killed her off early on. Now we get her back hah.

Science Fiction. Gotta love it!

Oh and I'm glad they destroyed that huge ship. Never want to see that again. That was extremely cheesy looking and way overly CGI'ed up.

I'm glad a Trekkie like you is loving it. I'm waiting for a box set or the first season to be dropped on Netflix, I don't feel like buying another subscription.

I've had my doubts about it for a long time, and still even when I see previews, but I'm glad you are enjoying it which gives me confidence I'll enjoy it.

I'm not sure if it's going to go to Netflix. At least it won't while the series is still on-going I believe. You might have to wait for the series to end, though the DVDs will come out.

I'm really enjoying it though. While it's still Star Trek, it's more like the recent Star Trek movies than it is the Star Trek series / movies of the past and it does not follow the same strict requirements of the Federations being a Utopian Society.

I'm curious, what's the monthly charge for CBS ALL Access? Is it worth it for essentially one show?

I think it's like $5.99/month with a commercial every 20 minutes, or $9.99 with no commercials. I started with the cheaper one, but quickly got irritated with the commercials and upgraded. That's probably because I haven't watched broadcast TV in years, so I haven't watched a commercial (or listened on the radio) in years.

Yeah I wasn't sure it would come to Netflix once the season ends. But I figure there is no way they miss a chance with extra money on DVD sales.

Gotcha. I'll definitely give it a chance eventually. Mainly I wanted to see what happens in a time after Voyager. Wasn't a fan of another prequel, although I enjoyed Enterprise.

I'm pretty sure it was you who gave me a hint about managing back pain. Been doing light weight repetition dead lifts like you suggested, it's working wonders (along with everything else I'm doing), there has been less flare ups and they don't tend to last as long (knock on wood). So thank you for the suggestion.

That's the issue I'm having with cutting the cord. I don't watch anything live and just fast forward through commercials and I no longer have the patience to sit through them if I switch to something that doesn't allow me to skip them.

That's awesome! So glad my suggestion helped!

Ive watched the first ten eps of Discovery.... fell asleep watching eps 11 & 12, so i need to rewatch them. So far its pretty crazy ie kinda like watching some bad Fan Fiction that looks really good. Not sure where they are going with the show though. There have been some titantic shifts/changes all thru the first season, so where it goes in the future is kinda ??????

As for CBS all access, I've been digging it so far... I have the $5.99/month sub. Really digging the old eps of Hawaii 5-O. Wish there was more content - its missing some real tent-pole CBS shows - guess they must have rights issues with some of them.
