So, I recently signed up for Netflix. I promptly watched all of the Breaking Bad through season 4. Haven't watched any this year as I'm too far behind. I will wait till season 5 hits Netflix too. (I and my family are quite pleased with Netflix. We don't miss any of the premium channels we dumped when we got Netflix)

I started watching Voyager from season one on Netflix after I finished Breaking Bad. I've never been a big TV watching guy, so while I was a big fan of Star Trek, I very rarely put watching a TV show on my schedule. So, I only saw an episode of any of the Star Trek shows if I happen to be around while it was on. (I saw most while in nightly reruns)

I believe I'm up to episode ten of season two. One thing I've noticed about Voyager in the first two season is that they heavily relied on Holodeck related episodes. I swear, half of the episodes involve it.

Anyone else notice this? I don't recall any of the other Star Trek's relying that much on the Holodeck. There were Holodeck episodes in STNG, but nothing like Voyager.

Now, that doesn't mean I'm not enjoying it. Though, I would definitely like a bit less than 50% of the shows being Holodeck related.

There is a lot, that after I watched it the 1st time, I skipped through the 2nd time watching the series. There are parts here and there, that are awesome, but IMO, when they start working on a way to get the home, and when 7 of 9 joins the cast is when it picks up. Neelix is soooo annoying, and I HATE Kes.

Yes, most of the episodes I watched were once 7 of 9 was part of the show so I'm seeing a lot of the early episodes for the first time. I agree about Neelix. I would like to choke him out of existence, but Kes doesn't bother me.

She will, it is sorta like the Troi on TNG. Captain.....I'm getting this feeling....

Voyager had some good episodes, it was just not consistent.

Yeah, I seem to remember the first few years relying heavily on holodeck episodes. I liked the last couple of years the best.

What else is there to do when you are stuck in the Delta quadrant and it will take 70 something yrs to get home? :laugh1:

Bingo! lol

My favorite episodes were back to back in season 6: Fair Haven (holodeck heavy, fair warning :D) and Blink of an Eye.

I'm a ST fan but how anyone can remember all of those episode titles is beyond me. DE is like the ST rainman. :laugh1:

Back in college Star Trek Next Generation came on three times a night on different stations we received. At the time you could show me a screen shot of any scene and I could tell you the episode ... although I couldn't tell you the name or number of the episode. I could tell you everything else about the episode.

Ah ... the memory of youth.

That's what separates the regular joe fans and the let's learn Klingon and dress up at convention types. I still can't get over the fans that want to be called "trekkers" instead of "trekkies" but I like to think of those names as the difference between the two types of fans.

I only knew because I was perusing the ST database and was curious. :)

I still don't understand why a lot of fans hated that show. I thought it was the closest to TOS and it had a really good cast.

I thought it was great. Scott Bakula = always a winner.

Deep Space Nine is the best TNG spinoff.
My least favorite. They stayed in one place and had to much weird religious stuff involved.
