I have to say I love Duke Manyweather and his OL academy. I have been critical of the CBA and limiting practice time.

Duke and his crew reverse that trend and I think are a big reason why OL skill has no devolved like we have seen with a lot of the skill positions.

Here is Steele working out there. Nice to see him training football activities as he works back from injury.

'FuzzyLumpkins' -- outstanding post.
It is not only the League and the CBA - but also Division I (and the other) college football programs that over the last half-decade or so, have reduced their number of practice sessions mandated by the NCAA in the summer, and the time each week once the season starts.

That's nothing. Collins is working with a beer and a bong.

He's was working with them last off-season too. You could see the improvement. Duke is the man.

Is this tax deductible or does Steele make too much to write the expense off?

Honestly, I hope this means a lot. Personally, I am not overly impressed. I would think all professional OL can drive a single man sled. Does it mean he is ready by game 1? Still not sure.

Yep, the ONLY thing they do there is measure how far a player can push a sled...

Yeah. The things that are important here:
  1. In the offseason following an ACL tear, Steele is working hard on his own to get back. Remember, the team loved Steele as a rookie because he worked so hard and just refused not to make it. This time of year, a lot of NFL guys leave the team facility and don’t do anything until camp starts. Steele, coming off of that injury, isn’t using it as an excuse not to work. Classic Steele, and a big part of why he has worked himself into a starting OL.
  2. He is moving very well at this point of his rehab… and really, he has been for a while now. It is clear from this video (along with previous videos) that Steele is well ahead on his rehab and has been since we saw him working drills back in March. It isn’t for sure, but it absolutely bodes well for being ready game 1.
This doesn’t show him working on anything special but it is, nonetheless, very good to see and falls right in line with what we’ve come to expect from one of the hardest working guys on the team. Mentally, he is everything you could want in a player.

Duke is the best in the game. One of the reasons I got on board with Tyler after being skeptical is that he did he offseason prep with Duke last year

Steele has an elite level work ethic. I’ve said several times that if Collins had his desire to be great we would be talking about a first ballot HOFer.

Let’s be fair though and recognize that his life changing pay day is greatly tied to this season. He will want to play game one, and I expect someone with that type of fire to proclaim being ready for then.

I’m not at all against wanting and hoping that “best five” can play an entire season.

If they do, this will be a damn good football team.

It's awesome that they found Steele as an undrafted player. Getting a player like that can lead to a championship. I'm looking forward to them signing him to a new contract.

Huh?

You saying he is just doing this for the money and will lose work ethic if given a raise?

That really speaks more to you. You quiet quit if given a raise?
