Well Miami got hosed in that game vs the steelers.

but have any of you noticed over say the past 4 or 5 season how the steelers GET EVERY CALL IN CRITICAL SITUATIONS?

oh and look the ref in yesterdays game vs Miami is from Uniontown pa... that's like a 30 minutes form pittsburgh

why does the nfl fix the games for the steelers to win? this is obvious it is going on.. i just wonder why.

nfl = wwe it's all scripted

That's the problem of most calls in the NFL being completely judgement based. The league can freely swing any game they want.

I don't think that its fixed. I do think that reputation gets the steelers calls that they shouldn't get. Reputation seems to have too much effect on how the refs se things.

well, Gene Steratore the referee is from Uniontown, PA. Another member of his crew is from Pittsburgh.

The NFL is more fixed than the WWE

We live in a sporting era where rating are everything. Games may not be "rigged" but swinging games one way or another is not out of the realm of reality. Do you think the NFL keeps adding judgement call rules because they make sense? :laugh2:

I think they add judgment call rules because there's very few other kinds in sports to be honest. Unless you can definitively look at something and say that is how it is its some form of judgment.

Even things that we don't consistently think of a judgment calls are. Things like spotting of a ball after each play is technically a judgment call.

I was thinking back on all the calls/breaks the Steelers have gotten in the Super Bowls they have played in, much less the regular season games. I was trying to think who the DB was in 1975 that Swann ran over and Dallas was actually flagged for PI. I was only 5 so I can't remember, but have seen the highlights. I am sure many of you know who that DB was.

Well, Swann beat Mark Washington in 1975 (SB 10). But I think you are refering to the PI call on Benny Barnes in SB 13. They wound up changing the PI rule to exclude inadvertant contact I think. Well, too late for the Cowboys.

PI was on Benny Barnes and the idiot making the call was referee Fred Swearingen, who should have been shot on the spot for that call.

What makes me upset is when they call a penalty that is clear on the other side of the field away from the play that has no bearing on the outcome of said play and they actually enforce it instead of picking up the flag and making a non call.

Great point by the way! And the reason behind what you point out are the looney Rooney's,the owners of the "Stealers" and their cozy relationship with the NFL commisioners. ALso,remember way back the looney Rooney's were literally a bootlegging mafia clan. Let's not forget that they had their way with Pete Rozelle in the 70's when their steriods,pumped-up teams had an unfair advantage on anyone they played. They are as illegitimate as Nigerian scammers.

And what would cause the NFL to want to hurt the Cowboys who have brought more fans to the game and who generate more natinal and international interest and attention for the league than any other team?

It's essentially suggesting the league would intentionally hurt it's own financial well being just to spite the Cowboys.

you are asuming the cowboys need to be winning for the NFL to be sucessful. people watch to see the cowboys win or fail... you can not say that about any other team in the NFL but the cowboys so it is irrelivent if the cowboys win or lose they are " already over the top" the steelers on the other hand help the league if they win and no one cares if they lose or not... unlike the cowboys who are loved or hated pretty much no inbetween.

its like the pro wrestler the Rock... we wasnt the world champ much because he was so popular he didnt need to be the chapm to help him... on the other hand someone like if you go back aways Tripple H need the bump being champ to be poular.
