- Teams may have players in their 2nd, 3rd and 4th round that aren't on our board because of scheme fit and vice versa.

- Is willing to call Bijan Robinson the best RB in the draft and doesn't blame anyone for being on that train.

- They talk to current players on the roster when preparing for the draft. Mentioned talking to Damone Clark about LSU defenders this year. The players don't go to them. They go to the players.

- Wants CeeDee Lamb here for many years to come.

- Steele is having one of the best rehabs Britt Brown has seen.

- Quickly mentions Quentin Johnston as an exception when asked about the smaller sized WRs in this draft.

- Soft tissue injuries on a player aren't a red flag unless they are chronic over his college career.

- Despite having a strong group of edge rushers they wouldn't hesitate to draft another if they feel the player is unique. Need only factors in when the grades are similar.

- Doesn't feel there's a big difference playing on grass or turf in terms of player safety.

The last two lines stand out to me.
I don’t know why so many fans feel this team can’t play on real grass. Just more made up fuel to hate on the team?

And as I have been posting the past few days. It is still BPA unless the grades are very close, then you look at position need or a starter in 2024 as FA will create openings and needs.

The question about grass or turf fields was related to injures, not how the team plays on the different surfaces. The NFLPA came out this week and said statistically there were more injuries last year on turf fields than grass fields. Stephen was just saying that he is on the competition committee and the data they have shows there is not really any difference..

Most of the grades are close. No one is going to draft a 7 when there is a 9 sitting there.

Most of the time its a 8.7 as compared to an 8.5. And they are taking the need at 8.5. BPA is a myth only when the gap is so large its makes sense to do it.

I think this is why Mayer and Wright have gotten alot of attention lately. I think one of these two will be the pick. If both are gone I can see WR or Drew Sanders being the Zack Martin pick. The last guy you had graded for the pick.

Stephen also brought up the safety position twice during the answer to that question, which stood out like a sore thumb.

At 13:38, he was asked about what they would do if a pass rusher like Nolan Smith fell to them the way CeeDee did, and it's really hard not to think he just came out of a meeting where they talked about taking Brian Branch.

I took the Youtube transcript and cleaned it up because I'm a masochist.

"You have Micah and Fowler and Demarcus Lawrence. Let's say you have a Nolan Smith sitting there in this draft. Would you want to add more to this current pass rush?"

"It goes back to... and certainly this has nothing to do with a specific player... this is a position, just a general philosophy of ours... is that's where you always do well, picking the very best player on your board and you just... from contracts that'll be coming up, injuries, all the things that are not foreseen, you know, to to pass on a player if you're sitting there picking and he's the best player on your board by a long shot, then I think that's where you can make your biggest mistakes. I don't think you say, 'Boy we've got five safeties that we love,' 'Boy, we got six pass rushers that we really like on our football team so we're just not even gonna grade the pass rushers this year because we don't need one.' That's just not how this works, and, boy, if we see a pass rusher that we think is unique that can really bring value to the table, drafting young guys who are going to be, you know, going to be around for four years, five years, you can't go wrong drafting players that you feel like can make a big difference on your football team, whether it's a pass rush or whether it's a safety, a corner, a quarterback. All those are situations where if you feel like they're great football players and the best player on your board then you have to stay with that now."

My favorite part about Stephen interviews is that every time he accidentally says too much, he immediately tries to backtrack and accidentally says even more.

I'd be good with Brian Branch at 26

Wants CeeDee Lamb here for many years to come.
duh....... they liked him in college, the jones boys picked him, forced # 88 on him, so I knew from day one he would be here till he is too old to play anymore.

They’re not even willing to put curtains up during the games. Changing the playing surface has no chance.
yes and curtains would be a 1 time expense, and way cheaper! That is bizarre, makes no sense . Maybe they are just that big of tightwads,
or they think it should give their team an advantage, that has never been evident lol.

Looking back at the last 10 or so years, I would say Parsons, Lamb, and Martin were all examples of the BPA with the flashing red light where they drafted but also filled needs too. Definitely makes sense to have a slight bias to need where there's equal value. I think you also have to consider positional strength and draft depth in that priortization too.

What you just read is complete and utter nonsense from a fan who doesn't know what he's talking about.
