Eddie Drummond was cut by the Lions today? I say if we are looking at athe idea of keeping two kickers then drummond should have a look.

Long time no see posting Keith. Where ya been hiding?

I still want to see Julius Jones try PR duties. He was great at it at ND.

I didn't get to see much of Julius at ND. It is difficult to imagine he would be a good punt returner. He doesn't seem very fluid at catching the ball. I bet fielding punts would be even more difficult. I can see him as a good kick off returner, though.

I agree and he is a little more than part time back so no reason he shouldnt be able to handle it

Oooh. That would be interesting. We've got the RB depth to give it a shot, too.

Did Stanback get a chance against Denver to return a punt?

People forget that he was the full time punt returner for about 2 1/2 years at Notre Dame and was very, very good at it, in the same league as Tim Brown and Rocket Ismail and probably a better kickoff returner than either.

I don't trust JJ's hands.

There is no deadlier PR on our team than Newman and it is high time he started to handle the job in some capacity every game, IMO. He is a weapon on PR and only has but so many years left before he loses the elite ability. The whole belief on increased inury to PR's is overblown, IMO.

I truly think he could put alot of games away, single-handedly and, likewise, put us back into games that are getting away.

JMO.

Word. Sign the man. He's been stuck with crappy teams his whole career.
