Talking about Bob, the OU coach -- not his insane brother at UA.

Reports are starting to pop up on Twitter now.

Just rumors so far. I am not sure I really see Bob leaving OU...not sure what makes the UF position any better than the one he has right not?

Stoops just about has it made at Oklahoma. True people are getting a little impatient for another NC, but most years he has the Sooners right there in the hunt, so that grumbling is pretty mild.

Sooners and Longhorns coaching staffs being thrown into disarray in the same offseason could be entertaining.

I'd be pretty surprised if he left for Florida. Although I certainly wouldn't complain. I'd love to see OU struggle to find another good HC.

I think this is the 4th or 5th time in the Stoops tenure at OU that this has come up along with dozens of other jobs. If the Florida job comes open then Stoops will be mentioned, it's like peanut butter and jelly.

What about Spurrier going back to the old stomping grounds? Now that would be interesting.

According to Florida, no other coach was talked to our considered. It was always Mushchamp. At least, that's what Florida is saying. Perhaps they talked to Stoops to get his opinion on Muschamp.

He probably said, "Yes! Please, please, please take him. Please take him!"

Maybe Jimmy. Although, I gotta believe most are happy to see Muschamp leaving the Big12. I know I'm sorry to see him gone.

:laugh2: No doubt.

But Muschamp really was the perfect fit for the Gators, and them for him. He has the UF ties and his family lives right there in Gainesville. What a dream situation (at least for now) for him.

Could be. I mean, if he is successful, it's absolutely a dream situation. If he's not successful, then it's probably going to be a nightmare for his family. Those things have a way of getting real ugly if you're not winning.
