You won't be hearing them say "Yea, but we're the Champions." They have nothing left now. I've never seen a worse first half by the Lakers in their playoff history. Ain't no I in Team Kobe, Odom, etc.

If the Mavs end up losing this game, I'm blaming it on your karma thread.

You could tell that the Lakers weren't playing as a team from the beginning. It was pretty much over when Kobe went 7 for 8, or something like that, to start the game. The rest of em gave up at that point.

That Artest layup/dunk fail ended any of their hopes. And it was hilarious too!

Fake Laker fans. When the Spurs play at home, there are always a lot of locals that show up in Laker T-shirts. Born and raised in SA, but root for the Lakers.

I hate them too. In fact, it bothers me that there are so many Cowboys fans that have never been to the Metroplex. Kind of annoying.

It happens with any high profile team.

I have to admit that I was a Laker fan once. Back in the Magic/Worthy/Kareem/Cooper days. It wasn't the glitz and high profile names though, it was the way they played. Some call it run and gun, but the reality is with the Lakers it was different than a typical run and gun team. They were always controlled - always fundamental. Outlet pass to the Magic who took it down the middle of the court with 2 people filling the lanes on either side and a trailer filling from behind. Classic fundamental fastbreak. And it was unselfish - it didn't matter who scored. It was not the "look at me" one on one style of basketball you see now.

So, since I was born and raised in Indiana I should discard the teams I've rooted for since I was a kid and start rooting for the Colts and the Pacers?

Per full disclosure, I don't pay much attention to pro basketball until the playoffs. And even then it's only a minor interest.

When the Oilers moved to Nashville I had people ask me if I was going to switch to them.

No, but have you even been to Dallas? If not...maybe it's time? IDK, you might be 12.
