:star:The NFC conference championship game has never been more easy to reach. Philadelphia is the best team currently. Followed by who though?

You could make the case that this team is currently as good as any of the other squads with or without Dak. Minnesota, Green Bay, New York, San Francisco, Tampa Bay all look very beatable and Philly only looked marginally better yesterday. Another conservative game plan with steady running and playaction might have toppled them.

The road to the Super Bowl thankfully does not go through KC or Buffalo. Dak has never had a better opportunity to get the squad to a Super Bowl. Let’s hope he manages it.

We'll see if Dak is a Goff/Wentz (average starting QB with an occasional good game) or a QB that can take his team to the next level. He has the offensive line, Defense, RBs and adequate WRs. If he can't do it now then I don't know if he'll ever be able to. If Dak and the offense plays like it did pre Denver game along with this Defense then we're in the running for the Super Bowl. It comes down to which Dak are we getting. I've witnessed him play at an MVP level and I've witnessed him play worse than a backup. If he can get back to his MVP level of play or close to it then we're the team to beat.

I don't think we lose yesterday without 2 horrible picks and a turnover on downs. We played our 2nd worst game of the year and still got it to 20-17. There's a lot if football left. Hopefully Dak goes back to pre Denver and he's not Tampa Bay Dak.

Its the Tampa Bay DAK that I am worried about... He looked horrible in the Tampa game and hasn't played since.....hope for the best...

I agree, I'm worried too. I'm hoping for the best and bracing for the worst. Dak hasn't played great since Denver of last year. I'm worried about that. But I'm cautiously optimistic that players can rebound and turn things around. I'm hoping that happens. If not we'll know soon enough and the season will be a wash. Then we look to draft his replacement cuz Rush is not the long term answer at QB and if Dak doesn't rebound then we look to replace.

So much to muck through, so many things to come...
We're 1/3rd into the season.
Injuries will happen to every team. Some catastrophic.
Some teams will figure out other teams, affecting the rest of their season.

We got a long way to go baby.
Maybe you'll end up being right, but there is always too much chaos in the NFL to make completely certain assertions.

This is why people lose money hand-over-fist to Vegas over the course of the year.

Which is why such betting exists.

Dak has had weak NFC East foes for most of his career. The table has been set. And I don’t know how much more waiting we need we have 7 years of play as evidence.

I agree with that but I think we got that Dak because he didn't play any preseason games.

I know injuries can alter the picture. Right now, the Cowboys are relatively healthy and the picture as of now has never been more favorable in the past 26 years. If the Cowboys cannot get it done this year, then the core of the team past 26 years old should be auctioned off asap and replaced in my opinion.

Something we'll revisit at the end of the year, for sure.
