What a Thanksgiving celebration yesterday!!! You couldn’t ask for better weather - about 73 degrees and a nice breeze. We arrived to setup at the stadium at 9:20 AM and finally started packing up to go home at 9:30 PM (I didn't think everything was going to fit in the minivan). Here are some of the photos from our tailgate festivities yesterday. The 3 tents are ours, and anyone wearing a #14 jersey is from Miles Austin's family. What a great bunch of people they are - very sweet family. I'm lucky to know them. Unlike the Dwayne Goodriches and Keith Davises of the world, you can tell Miles' parents raised him and his sister the right way. Both are very courteous, polite and respectful kids. Miles' sister has her Masters degree and is working with New Jersey Schools. Miles' mother is pressing Miles to get his Masters since he wants to also go into teaching once his football career is over. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

How did you get to meet the Austin family? That's awesome.

And BTW, it was my first time to see him in person. I got to the game WAY early yesterday, so we got to see them all warm up and drill. I think Austin will be a player. You can see that he has far more quickness and athletic ability than a guy like Sam Hurd... And he caught well, too.

Good stuff, what a great day yesterday was!

Miles went to my alma-mater Monmouth University in Jersey. I've been in touch with his family since the Cowboys signed him. They've been to 2 games so far this year, and I'm trying to convince them to move down here.

PM me and stop by if you're going to the New Orleans game. We're the first non-Texas Stadium employees to arrive in the parking lot every game, and usually one of the last ones to leave.
