This was the 2nd time our analytical nutty HC took a one point conversion off the board after opponent penalty to try for 2 instead. This one was costly and possible could have cost us the game in the end at least forcing another 2 point conversion to extend the game.
We’re having enough struggles with missed PAT, missed FG’s, killer penalties and injuries without our riverboat gambler placing more burdens to overcome. Just stop it already . Take what the game gives you and play the normal odds. A 4 or 5 point differential made no difference at that point in the game regardless what the odds were in us converting . But it did become crucial later in the game.
It’s going to really cost us at some point and maybe when the seasons on the line. We aren’t a desperate team. At least not yet.
