They need to just move all sports franchises out of Florida. That entire state is a POS of a fan base.

Get this. The Tampa Bay Rays sold out all of two games this season. That's it. Two! Now think about it. Which two games did they sell out? Yeah, the obvious answer is the two playoff games right? Nope!

That's right. They had two playoff games and only ONE of them was sold out! The first one. The other game that sold out? The first game of the season.

That HUGE come back in September? Winning lots of games. One of if not the hottest team in baseball during September. Amount of sell outs? Yep, ZERO.

Has another team had a playoff game that wasn't sold out? I would say this has to be a first, but then again. This isn't the first year the state of Florida has had a baseball team. I bet if only Florida residents were allowed to buy World Series tickets to a Florida team home game, one of those wouldn't sell out.

Their stadium only holds 32k fans too. By comparison, The Ball Park in Arlington holds 49,170. That is 17,800k more fans than The Trop. The Rays average attendance was 18k. That's almost the difference in capacity between the two ball parks.

The Marlins averaged 19k fans. 200 more per game. The Rangers averaged almost 36,400 and were only 10th in the league in attendance.

The only team to fair worse than the two Florida teams was the Oakland As at 18,200. (they shouldn't have a team either)

I saw lots of empty seats there during the game yesterday, playoffs elimination game and there where whole sections of empty seats...

Evercrowd in the divisional round was great except Tampa. There was no electricity at all in that stadium. Only 29,000 went to the game yesterday. That is terrible. They need a new ballpark.

That won't help. Sure attendance will be up until everyone in Tampa has seen it, then it will return to the gutters.

They need to just move the hell out of Florida. They would probably do better in Jackson, MS than they would anywhere in Florida.

This is no doubt a problem with quite a few sports teams in Florida. Even when the Jaguars have done well they struggle to get attendance at their games.

I'm not following it closely but I've heard that attendance for Dolphins games is getting worse and worse. Now thats no doubt in large part due to the fact that they're not a good team but I'm starting to wonder if they'll get much of that fan base back even if they started to play better.

I also only last night realised how dumb I was in my first post. I said after the Yankees blasted them...when the Yankees had blasted Detriot and not Tampa Bay. lol

Especially since it was my Rangers who bounced them from the playoffs. I feel really stupid right now.

I do feel bad for the Rays. If the Rangers couldn't win the AL, I'd like them to. (In years other than this one, obviously.)

Have to believe they'll relocate if this lousy fan support keeps up, which it probably will.
