I stopped by Harris Teeter today and bought a handful of tangelos because there were on special.

Sweet MERCY ME!! They are INCREDIBLE! Like the perfect flavor with JUST the right amount of citrus and no sour flavor from the fusion with the grapefruit!!

They might be my new favorite fruit. What's your favorite?

If you're ever on I-85 South headed down through the Carolinas, you'll see this enormous water tower that's a giant Peach -- there's a peach store nearby right off the highway that sells peach everything. Buy yourself a couple of jugs of peach cider - it's incredible.

Pine nuts, almonds, wall-nuts...peanut butter on some celery.

Bananas, blue berries, straw berries, apples, oranges, oat meal.

Mix and match those...it tastes good.

;) ;)

I haven't fund anything that compares to the perfect plum.
You can get one that's not quite ripe and tastes a bit sour and it's a real let down, but a ripe or even slightly over ripe plum is a perfect thing to eat. The only thing that could make it better would be if they were bigger.

Minneolas were always my favorite tangelos.

Mangos...mmm.

Ripe Georgia peaches. Fredricksburg peaches are about as good, but smaller.

Fresh pineapples, especially some of the smaller, sweeter varieties.

Excuse me, I have to go get a snack now....

Cherries..esp the Rainier ones when they're available. Expensive as heck.

I can't stand peaches. :puke:

I like Bannanas, red apples, blackberries (especially blackberry cobbler), cantaloupe, honeydew melons (if they are sweet, if not they aren't good at all)

Swap out the blueberries one day for blackberries. More and better flavor. You will thank me for it later. :)
