I prefer Wal-Mart's prices but Target's atmosphere. I will usually go to Target even if something is more expensive just because I avoid Wal-Mart if I can.

Target. They are cheaper especially b/c of coupons. Walmart just recently changed their coupon policy but they are still POS about it, and I haven't bought anything from Walmart in a LOOONG time.

Because of location and time constraints I go to Walmart but I prefer Super Target (that is what is in my area) much better. If for no other reason, the customer base is much much different. Going to Walmart makes me feel like I need to shower after I get home sometimes.

Walmart, their prices make putting up with some of the other stuff worth it.

Target. I hate Wal-Mart. I hope they get taken to the cleaners in that civil suit that may or may not be coming at them.

Target

In my area I have found they are just as cheap or cheaper than Walmart ..... and I do not have to wade through a million people to check out.

I try to avoid walmart like the plague.
If you have any doubt the country is headed towards being a 2nd or 3rd tier country just go spend a hour in a walmart and youll change your mind.:laugh1:

Walmart. Ours is really nice, actually.

It's brand new, open 24h and there are never any weirdos in it. The lines are never long, either. I might have to wait for one person at the most.

Well sometimes there are two :D

I go to Wal Mart mostly but a Super Target is right next too the Wal Mart. I haven't been in it so I don't know if it's any better than the WM.

Interestingly enough this is true, and 4-5 years ago it was not the case. This past week I found about 85% of my stuff cheaper at Target. I use to think it was a rip-off to go to Target, but now they are aggressively pricing their stuff.

Depends on what I'm buying and where...

Target is more expensive in my area, but I'll go there if I need something higher quality than the norm.

My house is a 10 min drive from about five Walmarts. Two are the kind that have literally run me out of the store and I avoid them, if at all possible. The other three are pretty cool.

On a side note, I don't find either store all that cheap. Walmart is not the big discount store it used to be. You gotta hunt for a deal just like any other store.

Walmart.

It's open 24 hours and I typically "need" something at like 10:30 or so.

Target.

I can never go to Walmart without viewing or inadvertently being a part of some freak show experience that occurs with the culture that shops there.

Neither one if at all possible.
Walmart is now all made in China.
Target is French owned and don't support any local teams or city functions,or our military.
Citgo gas stations are owned by Argentine dictator who is out to take America down. They changed or removed the name from their stations when this became known. Buy made in USA When I can.

Not true.

Target is an American retailing company that was founded in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1902 as the Dayton Dry Goods Company. Target now and never has been foreign owned. A French-based financial institution holds less than 2% of Target's outstanding shares.

Off of Target's website...

"Target wholeheartedly supports U.S. veterans, reservists and active-duty personnel and their families. We are proud of our record and are committed to continuing our support of veterans' organizations as part of our overall charitable giving program.

For years, Target has donated funds and volunteer hours to local and national veterans’ and military organizations, including the following:

• The Wall That Heals – Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund
• Operation Gratitude, United Through Reading, Our Military Kids
• Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)
• Minnesotans’ Military Appreciation Fund (MMAF)"

Target is proud to count many veterans and military reservists among our more than 350,000 team members. To support these team members, Target provides benefits for activated reservists, including pay differential, that surpass those required by law.

Target holds same or similar positions for reservists and National Guard members in accordance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). Team members activated for military service participating in optional dependent coverage at the time of their deployment also are eligible to continue benefits as provided by the 1986 Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA).

The Reserve Officers Association has recognized our company for these benefits and the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) lists Target as a five-star employer of choice on their Web site at: www.esgr.org. The ESGR also recognized multiple Target Distribution Centers in 2007 for their support of service men and women through the “Pro Patria” and “My Boss is a Patriot” awards.

They carry the same products as every other store.

Unless you're referring to their store specific brands which I haven't seen a single person buy in my entire life.

Target :( But we don't have one in the town I live in - Only Super Walmart. I have to drive to Fort Worth to go to Target.

I had some Egyptian cotton sheets from Target (I wore them out) that were the softest sheets! I loved them!

the only thing worse than the scumbags that shop at my local Walmart are the convicts that work there.

So true. Who needs a circus when you have Walmart? Freaks galore at almost all Walmarts. Some people who shop at Walmart don't even bother to get out of their pajamas. I don't have a tatoo so I feel out of place at Walmart. Walmart: where America's trailer park shops.
