Yeah, probably. Not saying it's never happened but it's not yearly right? Either way, that is far from trading for young interior talent that would be comparable to the Pickens trade.
Those guys were better than what we had ... but that speaks more to how badly we neglect the position than their abilities by the time they arrived here.

But if you are truly trying to upgrade the team there have been interior guys available if you are willing to give up similar compensation.

You're right about that, but its also the frustration in not addressing the position already. Finding a reliable interior player at this point in the offseason is extremely difficult.

Who has been available? When do you see 1ts traded? The ones traded are typically the Hanskins. You don’t see the Vita Veas traded.

He showed that he could be a very good and almost excellent TE in 2023. This year we will find out which one he really is. 2023 or 2024

Absolutely agree. If you have an elite talent I wouldnt shy away from round 1 either, but it certainly seems like the sweet spot is the middle rounds.

Right I mean if Graham fell to us you take him. Or Carter. But yeah it just seems like there’s a bunch of them that don’t pan out and a lot of them are firsts. For whatever reason seems like the 2nd and 3rd is the money round. Our 7th rounder this year….I hope we at least get mediocre play especially for a 7th rounder.

Remember how good Dalton Shultz was for us? They let him walk because of how good Ferg is. Yes, he had a down year, but most of the team did, so I don't think that's his new standard.

I would say 1T, LB, S (all three related to run defense) and LT are our, I won't call them weaknesses, but where our biggest "areas of concern" are.
Guyton is still a question mark at LT but I think he will step up in year 2. Dak better hope so.
Will the additions to the the D-line and LBs be substantial enough to impact the run defense? I think it will be better than it was, but I'm not sold that it's going to be considered good yet.
