I did not even know this: "Witten injures shoulder: Jason Witten, who had 10 receptions for 110 yards, separated his shoulder during the game. He took a painkiller injection and continued to play."

Couple this with Romo's chin - 13 stitch - performance last week.

Add to the mix Marion 'The Barbarian' Barber playing this week with bruised ribs and T-New and playing thru pain of the slow healing groin injury.

Those are four leaders of this Dallas Cowboys team playing with heart, playing thru pain and getting the job done against the hated Eagles. At home. Monday Night Football.

Whoever says this team is not made up of warriors probably can't spell the word in the first place. The leadership and resilient character on this team make me more proud than ever to be a Dallas Cowboy fan.

They didn't even mention, that I recall, Witten being that badly hurt during the game. I hadn't even heard he was actually hurt till after the game.

Yea all on the offensive side of the ball. They are all warriors. They make this breathe.

I saw Witten land on his shoulder and did not get up that fast. I said, "Oh, no." I then saw him not in the game, but the ESPN crew said nothing. I was glad he came back and figured it was something minor with his shoulder until I actually read about it this morning here.

We need 11 Demarcus Wares on D. But I will give Ellis his props. I believe the defense is still gelling. They should improve as the season goes on. The young guys in the secondary look better already. Pacman will make a big play at some point and his confidence will grow as a result. TNew will heal and Roy, yes Roy, will be back. Spencer will start making an impact and Zack will continue to rub off on everybody. All of these things will make the defense better, IMO.

Tell me about it.

This defense needs to pick up the pace. But lets be realistic they will never catch the success of our offense. They just need to at least be a notch above decent.

Ellis deserves some major props, as does Ratliff, for playing such a good game last night. They both made some big plays (Ellis 2 sacks, Ratliff a sack and fumble recovery) that helped us and D-Ware turned up the heat on those final two possessions to really help us out in the end.

Our defense is just as talented. There's no reason not to think they can't be as dominate as our offense. By the end of the year, I fully expect our defense to be a real strength.

I will delete my CBZ account if that becomes true.

Promise? Tell me what our defense is lacking, talentwise? I think the scheme is solid as well. Given time to jell, there's no reason we can't be a top 5ish defense.
