Anyone use one of these? They cost a fortune, but I have had so much trouble sleeping lately, I am tempted to give it a shot.

My parents LOVE theirs. They got the one that adjusts in height. I thought about getting one until I asked how much it cost. Too much for a friggin bed. I'll just stick to affordable pillow tops.........for now.

we got one a few months ago.

they have several models to choose from...we got the deluxe model.

pros:

helps cure backache pain extremely well
i sleep very well now
when you move you do not disturb your partner
they claim dust mites can not inhabit it for some reason or another
20 year warranty

cons:

cost

it gets damn hot in the summertime

i give a 8.5 out of 10 so far.

That was my first thought. It basically molds to your body and I thought ti would suffocate your skin.

Especially bad for when you black out face down, right lane?

I know I've slept on a Sleep Number at certain hotels and man I'm telling ya it's the cure... So tempted to buy one because I toss and turn all the time.

Yes I brought the enemy to this thread, muahahahaha!!:cunning:

Bought a queen-sized one in February. 4000 bucks. LOVE IT!!! Guaranteed not to sag more than a 1/4 inch in 20 years.

I got the top of the line model. Slightly lesser ones cost less.

I do not regret this purchase. I sleep like a baby on it. :)

Does it get hot? I read that the higher end models have some sort of air flow system...

I have a con that I've found with them, but it's subject matter is not appropriate for this forum! :laugh2:

Of course the heat issue is a big con for me too. Especially on humid days.

My only problem with my nine year old Sleep Number bed is the sag in the middle. Other than that it still sleeps well.

I've owned one for several years now. Wouldn't sleep on anything else. The one thing I would say is be sure to purchase to correct firmness because like anything, if you get to soft or to firm, it will effect how your back feels. However, if you get the right level of firmness, it can't be beat IMO.

Ive slept on one the past 3 years and my old back pain is zero. My mother and father asked about the bed last week and are planning on buying one this summer. Hot?? Stick your leg out...perfect after that. Incredible bed.

I had one for about 2 years. The first few months were great, my back felt good every morning. Then for whatever reason, my back started to hurt every morning. It got to be extrememly painful sleeping on it.

I went out and bought the softest mattress I could find, and have never looked back. I love it.

The tempurpedic now lays on my media room floor for my kids to play on.

You wanna hear about him getting busy?

I have no interest in his part of the event, but if the mattress is somehow a detraction, I want to know about it before I spend a fortune. smart-azs. :)

Don't they have an optional topper to help deal with their penchant for running hot?
