I haven't watched a single minute of bowl action. I'm dead to it now. The BCS and rampant corruption killed my interest.

Sorry I can't comment on the specifics of the game...but as for the shaft part of it....The whole country is getting hosed.

I watched some Tennessee games this year and they'd play great in the first half and then come out and look awful in the second half and get blown out.

I felt bad for them when the coach went to USC and sort of cheer for them for no reason at all.

NC and officials beats Tenn in OT....

Why?

I could see that that one catch that got reviewed with around 30 seconds could have been called an incomplete pass but there wasn't conclusive evidence to do so.

It was definitely a personal foul on the catch that got reviewed, he launched with his helmet.

College doesn't have the same 10 second run off as the NFL does. NC got the spike down before time ran out.

The personal foul was roughing the kicker to start OT.

There were no controversial calls in OT so I don't know what you are talking about.

And I had a bet on Tennessee so I wanted them to win.

I picked Tennessee as well, and was rooting for them initially, but I started rooting for NC when I saw what a punk that Tenn QB was.

Based on the end of the KSU game, that Tenn QB could have been called for an unsportsmanlike conduct call after every TD pass.

:laugh2: He was prancing around and celebrating/saluting but after the pick in OT, he was crying and running straight to the locker room!

I just saw the replay on BSPN and UNC got the spike before the clock ran out so there was nothing wrong with the call.

The refs' hands were tied, but I guarantee you college adds in a 10 second run off rule. After the LSU game, they had no one to blame but themselves for having about 14 men on the field for that last play which gave LSU the untimed down. But here, they kinda got a rough break.

And I was wondering what would happen if that were the NFL. Does too-many-men-on-the-field get a 10 second runoff? I thought any procedure penalty would get a 10 second runoff but as we all unfortunately learned on Christmas, that is not the case.

I think both college and the pros will move to a 10-second runoff rule for any penalty taking place pre-snap or at the snap (with, of course, the option to call a timeout instead).

How so? I watched the whole thing and didn't see anything the Vols have to complain about.
