Just food for thought: What contributed to the teams mentioned?

Both of them traded away one ( if not best ) player on their team to get a truck load back

Browns gave away (3) 1st rd, (2) 4th rd and (1) 3rd rd for Deshaun Watson

Rams gave away (2) 1st rd and (1) 3rd rd and Jarod Goff

Both teams were stuck and made BOLD moves. Took a chance and could have gotten worse, but look where they are.

Texans were active in free agency and drafted a QB with a top pick, 2 things we don't do.

Lions have been drafting top 5 for like 30 years, they were bound to be good eventually. Also Campbell coaching.

Those teams GMs didn't get ***** slapped by an agent in negotiations, and forced to put in a no trade clause.

This post is NOT about the Rams or Browns. It is just to say the Texans and Lions made tough, bold moves. Period.

It takes two to tango. Can't trade without someone on the other end. Many teams would like to make a deal but can't find a team stupid enough to give up an arm and a leg.

Well, two teams DID tango. Lions and Texans searched and talked with other teams. Dallas just sits on their butts and wants teams to call them.
It was NOT like this when Jimmy was there. He is the one that orchestrated the Herschel deal and also went after Charles Haley.
Jerry & son just are too 'comfortable' of winning seasons. Never hear either want a Superbowl anymore. Why?
The Cowboys #1 thing is to be a marketing team playing football. And Cowboy fans are happy with this because they want Jerry's
autograph and photo opts. Players want commercial deals, podcasts and signing bonuses.

Dallas has by far the worst GM in the N F.L. Any picks accrued would be immediately wasted.

I too would like to live in the 1990s forever.
Two teams DID tango so we can talk about both teams in this thread, if you don't mind.

Dallas fans might live in the 90s because this franchise has not done anything since. Not even asking for a Superbowl win or loss. I am just seek a NFC Conference game VISIT. All Jerry does since the 90s is marketing.

Congrats to Jerry. His marketing seems to be working like a charm on you.

What about the Cleveland GM who made that idiotic trade? Is that GM gone already?
What about the present GM of the Giants? A real winner there, right?
Point taken. But neither has been f'ing up as a GM for 30 years with zero consequences. Now just imagine if fans were complaining about the SAME Cleveland and Giant GMs screwing up in the year 2054!

That puts into perspective what Darth Leatherface has done to Dallas. An entire generation of failure. Forever tarnishing the star and his own legacy. There is just no comparison to the albatross wrapped around the neck of the Dallas front office.

Yes it has because I laugh after each loss and see Jerry's pain and his carefully worded cliches afterwards.
Whatever gets you through the night. Whatever floats your boat.
Out of curiosity, if Jerry doesn't care about winning and doesn't even try to win, why would Jerry have pain after a loss? Doesn't make sense now, does it?

Thanks for caring what I think because you can't get enough. Jerry cares because it is about marketing not about winning because if he did,
like his HC he replaces, he doesn't with his failing GM. So keep asking more questions and replies...awesome. Love to help you

Not gonna lie. After Dak's MVP year if someone would have offered us 2 first rounders and a 2nd or 3rd rounder it would have been tough for me to say no. Especially knowing how much Dak would have cost us to resign. And I like Dak as the QB but giving his age, issues in the playoff's, and etc. I would have definitely took that deal. Jerry is the type of GM that won't make those moves. He loves his own players wayyyy too much.

The Lions have been picking at the top of the draft for years but it took a change at the top of the organization to start seeing positive growth as a team.
I think the best thing that Sheila Ford Hamp did when she became owner is she recognized she needed help in making football decisions and hired Chris Spielman as a assistant/advisor.
