he should lose his scholarship to UT

:laugh2:

im sure every other D1 school that was on his list wishes that

I'm old school, I hate endzone dances and showboating, ... but that was nothing.

Some officials, refs, umpires, etc. ... just want to be noticed.

Not realizing that after the game, if you aren't talking about the officials, they did a great job.

But if all you are talking about is the officials, .. they sucked.

The dude has over 10,000 yards rushing during his 4 years in high school. I know a few on here are not impressed at all with that.

Aledo RB Johnathan Gray ejected in third quarter vs. Stephenville but will play next week vs. Corsicana
By

Standout Aledo running back Johnathan Gray was ejected in the third quarter vs. Stephenville in Aledo's 33-0 win Saturday in a Class 4A-II regional final at Midlothian.

Aledo coach Tim Buchanan told SportsDayHS' Mark Dent that Gray will play next week vs. Corsicana in the 4A-II state semifinals.

Gray was flagged for two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. The first call involved him making a throat-slashing gesture after a touchdown. Gray said he was signaling to fans in celebration, not taunting the opponents.

I thought the rule was that you can not celebrate after a play or TD? If that is the case, then that was not a penalty at all because it was during the play. How do you penalize a guy for how he runs?

That's a stupid call. If that was all it was, that was nothing.

That guy is supposed to be in high school????

He looks like he's in his 30s!

SECTION 2. Unsportsmanlike Conduct Fouls
Unsportsmanlike Acts—ARTICLE 1
Approved Ruling 9-2-1
I. Team B scores a touchdown on a kickoff return, and substitutes from
the Team B area, with no intention of entering the game, run to the
end zone to congratulate the ball carrier. RULING: Unsportsmanlike
act. Penalty—15 yards, enforced on the try or the succeeding kickoff.
Officials should note the numbers of the offending players, for
possible disqualification later in the game upon committing a second
unsportsmanlike conduct foul (9-2-1-a-Penalty).
II. Third and 15 at the B-20. Eligible A88 catches a pass at the B-18 and
heads for the goal line. At the B-10 he goes into a “goose step” and
continues this action as he crosses the goal line. RULING: Live-ball
foul for unsportsmanlike conduct. Fifteen-yard penalty enforced at the
spot of the foul, which is the B-10, and repeat third down. Third and 20
at the B-25.

Well, it's clearly a violation. It's a crap rule but it is a rule. I guess that all you can really do is change it.

I agree.

Johnathan Gray wins Gatorade award

http://espn.go.com/high-school/foot...-named-gatorade-national-football-player-year

The gridiron version of Aledo (Texas) senior Johnathan Gray is well known to high school football fans. Record-setting running back, move-the-chains machine, touchdown maker, and now, 2011-12 Gatorade National Football Player of the Year.

Lesser known to fans is Gray's 95 grade average as a senior, his 40-minute round trip day after day to visit a schoolmate he barely knew during her stay in a cancer ward. In other words, the consummate package of student-athlete.
