Patrick Peterson is not scheduled to run tomorrow at LSU pro-day and will stand on his combine time. This evening he met with the top brass of the Carolina Panthers and the front office of the Denver Broncos is following him around. Peterson is still hovering around the 219lbs mark. We hear there’s a chance Illinois linebacker Martez Wilson will run again during pro-day on Wednesday. Despite a best hand time of 4.42s at the combine Wilson has run 4.39s in the past and wants to get under the 4.4s barrier.
- One offensive lineman flying up draft boards is James Carpenter of Alabama. We have our reservations about the Bama lineman staying at left tackle but a number of teams disagree and Carpenter has an early second round grade from a number of teams.
- Last week we mentioned Blaine Sumner, the sleeper defensive tackle/nose tackle prospect from Colorado School of Mines. Last week he completed 49 reps on the bench even though he was under the weather. On Monday he hopes to exceed 50-reps when he performs at the Air Force pro-day
