For most NFL fans, winning the Super Bowl is why we are fans to the core, it’s the Brass Ring! The Jones’ have proven over the last 28 years they do not have the Football IQ to have a Super Bowl winning team under their (lack of) leadership, ownership, management & involvement! Not one visit to an NFC Championship game or SB in all these 28 long seasons! No bold moves, no great trades, no going for broke, making bad to terrible draft picks, greatly overpaying an average, older QB, etc.,etc., EXCEPT, except for what happened back when a man named Jimmy Johnson was the Head Coach!! Jimmy had the guts to talk the Jones’ into trading the then great Herschel Walker away for a pile of draft picks and in fact, during Jimmy’s 5 years in Dallas, the Cowboys made 61 TRADES to get better fast! Can you imagine, 61 trades??!! He was the one guy with real football knowledge in the organization back then & he led them to 2 and was responsible for a 3rd Super Bowl win! Thank God for Jimmy, at least we have those 3 long ago Super Bowl wins to remember. The Jones’ as we now know, couldn’t handle being second fiddle which most owners would be ecstatic to be, got rid of the only football coach that has ever led the Cowboys who they couldn’t totally manipulate and here we are, going on 29 SB winless seasons! Sad to say my fellow Cowboy fans, I fear it isn’t going to get better soon because even when Jerry passes away, his sons from what has been reported are just a chip off the old block, which doesn’t bode well for the Cowboys future Super Bowl wins… Best wishes..

So disrespectful to Barry Switzer's hard work to get that SB victory over the Steelers.

If it wasn't for Jimmy I doubt I'd be a Cowboy fan today. I know a lot of fans left when Lsndry was fired. If Jerry was doing the stuff he's doing now back then no way I would have stuck around. I salute fans who have never seen the greatness of the Cowboy who continue to stick around . I don't know how you do it.

If not for the extreme stupidity of Mike Lynn, how would Jimmy's Cowboy legacy have turned out? That single factor probably made the Cowboy dynasty of the 90s.

I hate to say it but this is where I am.......Jimmy and those days are old news. It's embarrassing for me to talk about those days. LOL....mention them to another fan and see the response you get.

The person who should be the most thankful for Jimmy is Jerry.
What would Jerry's legacy be and how much would the Cowboys be worth if Jimmy hadn't built the legendary 90s team?
