Stinking up the joint opening weekend, but trying to do something late today.

Really want them to at least come away with 1 win from the Mets. Mets aren't a threat for the postseason but we need to win as many divisional games as we can.

this team is a complete embarrassment

It's 3 games. The year is young. Baseball is a marathon.

:laugh2: You'd think that last season gave all Braves fans a hard lesson on that fact, but I suppose there will be some who forget.

Let's hope they get on track against the Astros.

Where I work we have a large group who are Braves' and Yankees' fans. We bought tickets for their series in Jun. Hopefully they will have a respectable record by then.

Man, this thread got buried after the slow start, but since starting out 0-4 the Braves have posted an 11-3 record, winning every series they have played.

Awesome to see Chipper hit that HR to celebrate his 40th. Hope they can get in that final game against the Dodgers since Chipper grew up a Dodgers fan and it will probably be his last game there.

Chipper Jones still has it!

That win over the Phil's is huge. I believe it put us in 1st place over the backsliding Nationals.

I was jumping up and down last night, that was amazing.

Who would have thought a game started by Halladay and Hanson would wind up 15-13 with 36 hits combined? Absolutely crazy. Chipper missed one earlier in the at bat, it went just a little bit foul. So you kind of had a feeling something was coming.

They used up all of their runs against the Phillies the night before, lol.

I'm going to see them next month when they play the Nationals here in DC. Hopefully we can solve them...they've had the Braves' number for basically 3 seasons now.

Don't look now, but they're doing it again! Battled back and tied the game at 8, and last I looked they had 2 on and nobody out after scoring 4 runs in the Top of the 6th!

Cubs presented Chipper with the Braves flag in honor of his last game at Wrigley. Pretty classy of them to do that!

It was classy of them. I would have preferred the Cubs giving the Braves a win instead. :)

Same here. Cubs stole the series. Braves bats were a little cold.

I like the direction of the Braves, though. Looking pretty good. Still think they need to add another big name starting pitcher though...this rotation isn't going to last forever.

The rotation is young as crap! They just aren't pitching well..

Not even counting all the young arms in the minors

I wished I still cared about baseball but the sport has killed itself and I no longer follow it like I use to as a kid. Yes I lived in Georgia as a kid for a year Ft Stewart and it was the first sport as a kid I played until i found football several years later in Texas

Nice road trip, and especially a nice sweep by the Braves over the Cardinals.
