The 5 things needed to best the Giants

4. Pick Eli atleast once in Giants territorey

now the main problem with us is that we cannot
get the defense off the feild. I think Bucs converted like 3 4th downs. Thats terrible!!!
We dont need to score alot of points to win.
If we can drive to about the 40 and punt we could put Giants
in bad feild position and that is when Eli makes
the most mistakes ​

1, 3, 4, and 5 are almost exactly what I told my buddy on the phone earlier. Only I said we need to end up +3 in turnovers. I wouldn't mind a trick play as well.

But only 2 things need to happen. The OL dominates, and the D gets some turnovers. After that the rest will fall in place.

Brad Johnson put up a measily 122 yards against the Bucs in his second week getting starter reps and still won the game. If Campbell can take the Giants to the wire while throwing 133 yards, thats a game BJ can handle.

I certainly hope that Brad Johnson's 3rd week getting any sort of snaps with the first string offense (up until this point he was strictly scout team) would see some improvement. Plus, REW should see the field quite a bit more after digesting even more of the playbook.

I may be disrespecting the Giants, but I think they are more overhyped right now than we have ever been over the last 2 years.

1. Ball Protection. Any turnover will absolutely kill any shot at winning.

2. Consistency on defense. Watching a good series get swept aside by a bad one will not cut it. The defense needs to be consistently good for the entire game.

3. Special teams improvement. With a limited offense, Dallas cannot afford to lose 20 yards on every special teams play where they kick.

4. Enthusiasm from the whole team. This team cannot allow itself to get lulled asleep at all. No breaks, no breathers.

5. Confidence. The team can win against anybody. With Brad, its obviously harder but the team can still pull it out like last week.

Its funny... I read the "score 24 points" and I dont see it as "needed".

We know the Giants can hang 30+ on us. Its not gonna be about offense and points.

Its gonna be about Defense and the little things. If we can get this defense rolling... we can win this game somewhere's around 17-14 or so

We will never score 24 points with Brad Johnson. The only way we get 24 points is if Felix is back and scores 2 TDs on returns.
