The closer the draft gets the more I hope we pair this kid with Parsons

I was really high on Sanders at 26 for the previous few months. But the more I watch, like Mazi Smith, the less and less I like them at 26.

I could just see these two feeding/playing great ball off each other. Think it would be awesome and wouldn't mind seeing him selected at 26.

Saunders could be the surprise pick at 26. Middle linebacker with pass rusher skills. Walks in and makes the defense better.

Sanders, Campbell, or even Nolan Smith in that role. I am sure Dallas professionals do a better job than myself at judging them, but I really hope they are seriously looking at one of them at 26.

I do not expect it though. I expect CB if one of the top 3 falls. Followed by any top 10 player that might fall. Followed by Bijan if he falls. Followed by a DE or OT they like. Followed by a TE then Guard. Followed by LB and if no one else is available - they will reach for an obscure undersized DT that has a 3rd round grade on every ones board but theirs.

top 3 CBs will be long gone, all 3 look terrific.I know they have Forbes for a visit.I like him but he needs to put on some weight.

Forbes isn’t day1 ready IMO, but with Gilmore he would not have to be. A year to add weight and strength he could be a real player in the future.

I look at Sanders and see LVE. Think I like Nolan Smiths athleticism more
Sanders moves a lot bette than LVE. I also think he he has better instincts. And he adds a pass rusher element that LVE doesn’t have. Smith has elite traits and is certainly the better prospect. But Sanders could be the better fit.

Of the two Ps I need to see production for our first round pick not potential and Sanders has it. He reminds me a little of Parsons but not quite as explosive. He also reminds me a little of LVE minus the medical red flag. NFL comp is Tremaine Edmunds who just signed a monster FA contract with the Bears.

I watched Mazi in a full game and was so unimpressed.

Same here. I think he just fits the “big anchor” with upside. I always think guys like Mazi who end up somewhere like Baltimore, Pittsburgh, San Francisco he becomes a stud pro bowl player. If he goes somewhere with a lower rank defense he won’t be heard from.

I'd love it if we got him or Simpson from Clemson.
These guys are good. I like the idea too. Problem is, they might be a stretch for pick 26, and would go well before our 2nd pick. It's going to depend on who's there at 26. But I'd rather one of them than an OL.

I was thinking for a trade down to get either. Especially since a combo of either and Benton or Dexter.

I too caught the Sanders fever for awhile. As you dig deeper you see it's not all candy and rainbows.

He does have pass rusher skills, as he started his college career as edge. The question is how good he is in pure linebacker-y things, and the answer at this point is kind of 'meh'. Not so good at shedding blockers. Despite a few sexy highlights of him decleating a back, he's not a consistently physical tackler. He's still learning the position, so maybe he can grow into something. Not there right now.

Sanders likely is the 2nd best LB. But let's be clear: This linebacker class is hot garbage.

Would be ok with selecting him late second round, but wouldn't expect much playing time or production his rookie season.

DT's like him aren't exciting to watch. They don't show up much in tackle totals. Their role is primarily to take on a double team, anchor and muck things up.

I would have no problem with a stud MLB at 26. Kid looks good. Short arms? Doesnt jump of the page for me but looks good.

I think a combo of Will McDonald and Dayian Henley would be nice too.
