This is no surprise. 6 wins because the Cowboys play the Panthers and Giants still, and they will eke out another win somewhere along the line. Maybe the Bengals. But just to twist the knife at the end, the Cowboys will beat a Washington team that rests its starters week 18 because they have already clinched their playoff spot.

I am counting on a top 10 draft pick in 2025. SF getting so banged up this week threatens to ruin my plan!

This isn't a huge surprise. What's a surprise is the Cowboys are 3-3 playing bad football. It shows how many bad teams there are in the NFL.
Bigger surprise that you're not telling us something we don't already know!

Not really. The Browns stink for sure. But they barely squeaked by the Steelers and Giants. They were a Dowdle fumble away from losing to them.

That Steelers win is going to come back to bite us come April.

The NFL as a whole is down right now.

There’s not really very many complete teams anymore. It felt like there were always 5-8 really good, complete squads in the league every year in the past.

It is actually incredible that we are a .500 team playing bad football and missing as many guys as we are.

We should be 2-4 or worse— so believe it or not— 3-3 actually keeps the season alive if they dig down, figure some crap out, and start playing better ball

Given the limited amount of change on the offense, it is hard to believe how significant the drop off is this year. This offense for the past several years has been top 5-10 in most of the regular and advance offensive stats so a drop to bottom 5 across most stats...especially when you look at the personnel changes year over year Zeke for pollard, losing Gallup, and T. Guyton for T. Smith...Beebe for Biadasz seems to be an improvement). fundamentally, this is the same team from the previous 3 years, so I would have expected a drop to maybe between 10-15 at worst.

QB – Dak Prescott, Cooper Rush, Trey Lance

RB – Zeke Elliott (Tony Pollard), Rico Dowdle, Deuce Vaughn, Hunter Luepke

WR – CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, (Michael Gallup), Jalen Tolbert, Kavontae Turpin, Jalen Brooks

TE – Jake Ferguson, Luke Schoonmaker, (Peyton Hendershot)

OT – Tyler Guyton (Tyron Smith), Tyler Smith, Terence Steele, Asim Richards, Matt Waletzko, Chuma Edoga

OG – Zack Martin, TJ Bass

C – Cooper Beebe (Tyler Biadasz)

Martin’s play has fallen off and Steele has been exposed even more because of it. The entire line is a mess and needs a rebuild.

Dak requires perfect protection because he plays like Aikman after his back issues started. I don’t think Dak ever got comfortable on that ankle and his speed/acceleration have suffered greatly. He’s a statue QB with a moderate arm and poor accuracy.

The entire draft needs to be spent on offense. Two lineman, RB, WR…use later picks on DL and LB.

It may not seem like we lost a lot but collectively those players represented a bunch of leadership. They weren't trying to fit in or figure out how to do their jobs, they knew their job. Something we need to remember as Jimmy would, players are not judged on good plays ( coz part of their job) but mistakes.
