Seriously I really hope this FO is not done bringing someone else in. IMO, this is not a great RB room at present. Two cheap FA vets with questionable futures and two Day 3 draft picks…not exactly “can’t miss”.

The delusion is real. This is more of the same from this FO with a shiny new WR to take your eyes away from the reality.

The Cowboys averaged 82 yards rushing in their first ten games last season and 127 yards per game in their last seven as the O-line slowly improved as the season progressed.

I expect that improvement to continue this season barring a rash of injuries.

We have a much better squad of RBs this season comparted to last. It is by no means elite but I would expect the Cowboys runnin g attack to be middle of the pack.

Using a formula to quantify a team's talent level before the season even begins seems deeply flawed.

Who are they realistically going to bring in that makes much of a difference? That needs to be done in March.

Even so, trade yet another draft pick when that’s all they use to build the foundation of the roster?

All these debates come back to the same deal….they aren’t any good at building a winning team and have no real plan. Incapable.

That said, I’d give the RBs a better shot at being a decent unit than the LBs….considering who is playing in front of each unit up front.

It’s obvious this team is going to lean on Prescotts arm before long anyway. That “run the ball” crap is lip service. Jerry’s got 90m a year tied up in Dak and Lamb and Pickens was his big splash. This isn’t going to be a running team on that alone.

Ezekiel at his age being one of your top two is bad, and very easy to improve on. Seriously the return of Ezekiel was one of the worst star returns I have ever seen in my years watching sports. It was a bit sad honestly. I wish him well. Months in Cabo maybe? Use that money, you earned it. Give some to the Salvation Army, lol.

I can't think of another case of a return like that. Maybe Tony Casillas when he came back?

When Pete Rose went back to the Reds? At least he became player manager.

I have serious concerns myself.

I’ve never been a fan of RB by committee unless you have two good RBs

Having four average or below average RBs is not a committee.

I’m just hoping one of them surprises us.

if I recall we also ran into weaker Run Ds later in the season....

Man, I like our first round pick but wish we could have gotten Omario Hampton and still helped our oline by trading back. Or, at least picked a better RB in the draft considering it was a strength of the draft. Oh well.

I think we have to go back to the 1981 Chargers. I'm not sure what their run game was ranked. But it couldn't have been good.
