We've been saying the same thing for years. I don't know who this guy is or what he warned us about in March, but he could be anyone of us in this forum. Jerry is the problem. We know that. We know Jerry is not going anywhere. So why did we buy into his sales pitch every year? Why do we believe his draft picks are great before they take the field? Why do we expect to contend for a Super Bowl because Jerry says he has the players? I fell into that trap in the past. Last year I thought they were right there. Then Green Bay beat the snot out of us and made it look easy. They exploited all the weaknesses we should have known existed with this team. Then Jerry said, "I am all in!" And we bought that too. But his actions did not follow his words. This off season may have been the worst in years. It woke me up. A quick comparison of this roster to last year's and I knew this team would suffer miserably in 2024. How could it be different considering the talent drain after the 2023 season? We are depending on rookies and has beens to keep us afloat. The rookies have been surprising, but they are rookies. They are better than expected but nowhere near good enough.
3 blowouts in 6 games. That tells us all we need to know about the talent on this roster. They are a bad football team, much worse than the 2023 version. Teams have passed us by, including teams in our own division. The worst thing to happen to the Cowboys in 2023 was the Eagles falling on their faces for whatever reason. This team needs a good butt whooping and this year they are going to get it. If for no other reason than to see Jerry facing tough questions and universal criticism. He won't leave or change, but there is still a modicum of satisfaction watching him implode when the media challenges him.
