Does anyone know if this guy will be back next year? I use Smith as a comparison to other big receivers who run 4.5 range speed. Smith was a state champion high jumper, and looks to have really good hands.

I don't get why the Cowboys never gave him a look last year. It looks like he can block, so I have to think he could have fit in with the offense.

He seems pretty savvy with how he runs his routes to get open. I'm just trying to figure how why we never tried using Smith more last year when it seemed like we needed help at WR.

In 2022 they already had too much inexperience at WR. They wisely added the veteran TY Hilton instead to elevating a practice squad player.

The punt returner was already taking 1 WR spot.

I think Smith might do something if given a chance because he was one of the better WRs in preseason, but the Staff was so hellbent on making Tolbert n Houston be somebody. I don't think he re-signed and good for him maybe he can go to LAC and get a chance.

I liked Brandon Smith. I saw Dez Bryant in his game. Unfortunately UDFAs get a raw deal vs a draft pick . The organization wants to save face rather than the best players make the team.

Outside chance could be team chemistry maybe a coach really didn't like his personality.

Team Politics maybe
Think how Jason Witten vs Martellus Bennett. Witten was Romo's bud and Bennett never got the the ball thrown to him.

Liked him a lot, thought he was def the 3rd best WR on the roster prior to TY
