The 1970's Doomsday Defense was such a stable core of characters. It defined our Team. It closed out games.
Doomsday 1 - DE's - George Andre and Larry Cole and DT's Bob Lilly and Jethro Pugh
Doomsday 2 - Harvey Martin, Randy White, Larry Cole/John Dutton and Too Tall Jones

Jimmy Johnson built a rotation of 8-DLman, always a fresh body and SPEED was required to play fro Jimmy.
DE's -Charles Haley, Jim Jeffcoat and Tony Tolbert
DT's - Russell Maryland, Tony Casillas, and Jimmie Jones
and Jimmy had position flexibility as DT/DE's - Leon Lett and Chad Hennings

I am hoping that this is the model that McClay is rebuilding. If both DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory can remain on Santa's good boy list, I am optimistic with:

DE's - Gregory, Lawrence, Tapper, Mayowa
DT's - Thornton, Collins, Coe and McClain
Position flex with - TCrawford, David Irving, Jack Crawford

Week 5 after Suspensions, I'd love to see

D'Law - Thornton - Crawford - Gregory
irving - coe - collins - tapper

Who will stand-up and create DOOMSDAY III?

Don't sleep on Mike Mcadoo and Ryan Russell. Both twitchy guys with great length. Ravens valued Mcadoo so much they kept him on their roster for 2 injury filled seasons.

And Doomsday III is not here yet. Need a true stud on DL. Trade for Muhammad Wilkerson and maybe we can celebrate sooner rather than later.
