One thing we can be certain of. We will constintly be reminded of the fact that Purcells is now 77-1 in games his teams have lead going into the 4th Quarter.

I hate these deals. They used to do it with TD when he ran for 100. Then, they started it with Smith. Now, it will be this.

Drives me crazy.

Actually it was when winning by 13+ pts, so it won't happen all of the time or anything.

Also, I wonder what Parcells thinks about 77 when he was calling plays, and 1 when payton was ?

You won't hear 77-1 though. You'll hear whatever his record is when leading by 14 or more in the 4th. I know he's never lost a game when leading by 14 or more points in the 4th quarter.

Was it being conservative play calling or just poor play calling? I was all for being conservative on offense before Washington took the lead. Dallas threw two incopmlete passes on the series before Moss scored the second TD. They could have run the ball and burned the clock down to the 2:00 minute warning or lower. That could have changed how the defense lined up when Washington got the ball back. Maybe that would have inspired Roy to line up 20 yards back instead of 11 to 12.

I don't know, maybe it's just me... but maybe with the jets he was 70-0 when having a 10 point lead, but they blew that for him, so they increase the stat to 13. Who knows, maybe when he has a lead of 14 points its also a big stat?

If you think Parcells is going to become 'unconservative', you're going to be severely disappointed.

It is what it is - he is what he is.............conservative and boring when it comes to offense.
