This isn't how any of us wanted it to go. Lackluster effort by the Owner/GM's. I guess we'll have to get over it and embrace the suck.
Martyball- Run, Run, Pass... Run scheme is inside zone or duo/combo blocks. Heavy play action pass attack. Working out of 12 personnel a ton.
De-Flus... Tampa 2 variation, heavy zone scheme. Most blitzing coming from the SLB or Slot DB. LB's need to have coverage skills.
12. T/G Kelvin Banks (6'4, 325) Texas- He can play for Guyton if he doesn't make improvements or he can play RG and would probably excel at it.
44. RB Kaleb Johnson (6'0, 225) Iowa- Ran into a lot of stacked boxes and was still productive. He would be a great fit for what Schotty plans on doing here.
Trade- Browns move up from 94 to 76 and give Dallas picks 94 and 103
94. WR Jack Bech (6'2, 215) TCU- one of the better blocking wideouts in college football. Good contested catch guy. The epidemy of the phrase Dak Friendly.
103T. LB Jackson Woodard (6'3, 230) UNLV- People are sleeping on this kid, he is a very instinctive LB that can play run and pass sets. No subs needed. 135 Tackles top 5 in NCAA, he also had 4 Int's and 12 Passes Defended(top 5). I actually have a 3rd round grade on him, so I am cheating here a bit. Great scheme fit for Eberflus.
150. CB Zah Frazier (6'3, 190) UTSA- good zone corner with ball skills(6 picks this yr). Is a willing tackler but he needs to improve his technique and gain 10-15lbs.
170. DE Jah Joyner (6'5, 265) Minnesota- very physical edge setter. Pass rush is a work in progress. Great length to agitate passing lanes.
172. 3-Tech Darius Alexander (6'4, 310) Toledo- good length and burst. On Feldman's Freaks List(20 MPH GPS), a day 3 pick because he is a 6th year college player.
174. LB Shaun Dolac (6'1, 225) Buffalo- led all of FBS with168 Tackles, also had 5 picks. Isn't the fastest player(4.70) but he makes up for it with instincts. ++ pass Def.
190. Edge Jahfari Harvey (6'4, 255) SMU- led the team in sacks with 7.5. Twitchy but lacks a plan. Good rotation piece with Micah and Williams.
211. 1-Tech Cam Jackson (6'6, 345) Florida- eats up double teams. Gets into passing lanes with his length. 2 down player, stamina is an issue.
Trade- Commanders move up from 238 to 228 and give Dallas picks 238 and 247.
238. TE Jackson Hawes (6'5, 260) Georgia Tech- the best blocking TE in this draft class IMO. Can box out and catch some, but route running and YAC is limited.
247. Slot/FS- Seyi Oladipo (5'11, 205) Boise State- leads FBS in DB sacks with 6.5. Good compliment to JLew or Hancock if either miss time for any reason.
