That is really cool. It's hard to comprehend just how big distances are in space.
 
Imagine how much bigger it was when it was infinite -- back in the Steady State days. :p:

My old professor would say. If there is an orange next to you and it was the sun, the closest star to the sun would be the same as an orange in Chicago. This was from Austin Tx. So, really, the nearest star is an orange proportional to another orange about 1,150 miles away. Austin, Texas to Chicago, Illinois. Earth would be the size of the tip of your pencil...
