Gotta admit that when CD Lamb went to McCarthy and said he could do more that's the minute the season turned around for the Cowboys. The best thing about it is not only was CD right but he wasn't the WR Diva that we see all the time from selfish wideouts and that's because CD is a team first player that doesn't shake the locker room like we've seen from receivers in the past.

I think it also helps people stepped up. Ferg and Lamb to start this season had some head scratching drops.

Give McCarthy credit too for listening and putting it into action. Some coaches are easily approachable and tend to just brush it off.

I kind of think that conversation might be given too much credit. I think this was the offense McCarthy envisioned from the start (go look at his Green Bay offenses), but we were just slow getting there. If anything, the conversation caused us to force it. Dak was relying too much on the West Coast offense principle of getting the ball out quickly because the principle was new to him, so we were throwing a lot of underneath stuff. Again, if you look at McCarthy's time with the Packers, that's not what it was all about.

There was a clear change in how Mike called plays after the San Fran game. The offense really got going and started hitting it's stride after that.

Its going to be tough in the playoffs though....everyone is going to double him waiting to see if anyone else picks up the slack.
You cant really double him because he lines up all over. Only way to “stop” Ceedee is have your best corner follow him all over the formations

It's not just Lamb that McCarthy listens to. In one of the Sounds from the Sidelines videos, Brandon Cooks mentioned that he went to McCarthy ahead of the game to ask him to add a play. That play was added, and McCarthy called it during the game, which resulted in a wide open 30 yard TD pass to Cooks. A wise coach takes input from veteran players, and other coaches. His ego is not to big to take suggestions seriously, and implement them when it appears they can help the team. That only builds confidence in the coach, and helps the morale of a team.

And coincidentally the schedule cooperated until December when it didn't and the offense struggled again.

This is nonsense.

It was certainly received better than when Amari Cooper did it. Cooper was a selfish player for saying it. Good thing we got that 5th round pick for him.
