The Excitement of Being At NFL Drafts

Green Bay should be interesting this year. Green Bay population is 105k. Draft is expected to bring in 250k. We’re closing the schools on Thurs and Friday. The wife’s a teacher and couldn’t care less about the draft, but she’s pretty excited about the days off.
Was going but the hotel prices are crazy 1000 bucks a night that’s the cheapest! That’s what happens when you put the draft at a small market area ! Sucks

I think having the draft in late April is detrimental to the game. They should switch it to mid-March. Teams should have the rookies in camp earlier, as some will start or play significant roles. No need to stretch this out so much. Sportswriters and broadcasters have run out of speculation. I want T-Mac or the Golden Boy plus 2nd round RB learning the system earlier.

I prefer the drafts to just "get down to business". They drag it out for 3 day!!!! The NFL has made it into a spectacle, and not a good one at that. And do teams really need that much time on the clock to make a selection??
The early parts are awful on the timing, but if teams are working on a deal based on things unanticipated like a player slipping, yeah I guess it’s fine.

It starts way too late on Thursday.

Not sure how I feel as to the current set up as opposed to the full Saturday/Sunday thing of the past, but it’s nothing more than a money grab. I do kinda like having an overnight to take in what happened after round one.

Fans showing up in full garb as if it’s a game is a joke. Can’t stand Goodell sticking his mug in constantly, and the fake handshakes and hugs. Wonder if he greets people the same way at an owners meeting.

I think I’m grumpy today lol.
