Kayshon Boutte reportedly had a “less than ideal” minicamp and OTA showing with the Patriots.

Boutte was absent for multiple practices for an “undisclosed” reason.

One Patriots staff writer wrote that he’s “losing hope” Boutte will be a factor for the Patriots.

Just one year ago, Boutte was viewed as a potential Top-10 pick in the 2023 draft class.

Boutte was also the 2nd ranked WR recruit coming out of high school, ahead of Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Quentin Johnston.

Now, the Patriots rookie WR has an UPHILL climb, but all the potential in the world.

Did their WR corps have a good minicamp/ota showing? They have JuJu Smith-Schuster in the slot flanked by Devante Parker & Kendrick Bourne. That isn't a very impressive WR corps.

He lost his explosiveness after the injury which was his one truly elite trait. Don’t anticipate he’ll make it in the league very long.
