Yeah, I know I'm still living in the past that's dead and buried. I figure today will be a good time to start Jimmy Johnson's book, maybe to escape reality. Looking at the cover of the book, I was once again reminded of a quote from Jimmy that I think about a lot. After the 1991 playoffs, when we took leaps and bounds, upsetting the Bears in the playoffs, inspiring hope throughout the fanbase, Jimmy wasn't happy. He said that "we faked and finessed our way through last season". He wanted only to get better. He was hungry. Younger fans wouldn't believe it, but Jerry was hungry. The team was hungry.

That was a long, long, long time ago. Today, after another failed season, Jerry doesn't even take a breath before announcing that our walkabout HC is safe. It's more than embarrassing; it's maddening. I know Jimmy Johnson is a dinosaur, and this isn't the wonderful 90's. But that eternal hunger to win drives other teams to be aggressive, to make harsh decisions to win. I know it might sound crazy to us, but teams who have been to the SB even a couple seasons ago STILL ACT HUNGRY after they were just there! Insane! With this team...I actually get the feeling that Jerry is the kind of guy who would think, had we gotten to the Championship game, win or lose, that would be enough to satisfy fans for the next 5 years. Yeah, yeah, Daddy gets teary-eyed for the camera, while in the same breath promising more of the same.

I hate Jerry Jones.

The Dak contract was a direct product of Jerry’s ego and his unwillingness to make unpopular decisions.

The initiated fans knew giving Dak a big deal would handicap this roster beyond repair. Dak’s chance was 2019-2021 when the offensive roster was loaded. He’ll never have an offense that good again.

Once the offensive talent started to fall off this season, Dak became significantly worse. This trend will continue.

And he doesn't even need a night to sleep on it! He knows before the outcome of the game that there will be no accountability for losing. All we get is, welp...really thought we could win. Make sure you buy lots of Parsons jerseys in the offseason, kids!

Kinda sounds like Kirby Smart. He was dissatisfied with how Georgia played in their win against Ohio State and demanded them to be better. I wonder if he could coach at the NFL level.

Dak is paid like a QB who can make players around him better. He can't though, and Jerry is too cheap to give him what it would take to prop him up enough. And even then...not sure Dak could mentally do it. The only absolute is that nothing will change for at least 2 years. At least.

I'm so tired of seeing real coaches on the sidelines of other teams. Look at them pace up and down, involved in every play, talking to the players, planning and plotting in this game of chess. And I'm not talking about screaming at players; I'm just talking about JUST TALKING. We see MM talk plenty...when he's crying to officials, asking for explanations. The rest of the time we see him just staring off into space in disbelief. I'm so sick of our do-nothing coaches. Quinn might not be the answer, but I can absolutely guarantee he is right now, a better HC than MM.

Georgia Job is better than any HC gig in the NFL.
