-The Good
*The Cowboys haven't quit and continue to play hard
*Dowdle is having a solid season and will reach a thousand yards rushing
*Rush played pretty well
*Osa Diggy-Zoo-Ah played his best game as a D-tackle
*The offensive line is getting better each week and the RB's had over 200 yards total
*The defense is doing their thing getting sacks and turnovers
-The Bad
*McCarthy really pisses me off with his play calling, 3rd and two and he calls a screen pass when the Panthers haven't stopped Dowdle all day long
*You mean you had that play with Turpin lining up in the backfield since training camp and you're just using it now
*Can Copper Rush ever make the easy pass man he misses a lot of easy throws to wide open receivers
-The Ugly
*This is the dumbest, careless, most undisciplined Cowboys team ever 14 more penalties and most of them are pre snap
*Hey Rush can you hold onto the ball on a play action pass yet another fumble
*That turned into an 80 yard TD right before the half
-Next Week
*If the Cowboys had beaten the Bengals we would be talking about playoffs going into this week against the Buccaneers but so much for that

Self inflicted screwups are the worst kind. It prevents better teams from winning. In a year where the Cowboys are experiencing the most injuries ever it seems there is little room for error. The Cowboys are their own worst enemy sometimes. It makes this tough year even harder to watch.

The Cowboys need to bring back their free agents and then add free agents from other teams. Can you imagine adding to prime Micah, Osa,Gholston, Mazi and company. Then you add a receiver and resign Dowdle to the offense. Then you draft the best players on the board regardless of position. One can dream. The reality is I will get a hold out, comp picks, a draft pick coming off an injury, and like it.

It's not Rush's fault........defense still needs to do their job. We were deep in Panthers territory.......that score is on the D.

hard to give either the offense or defense much credit when playing arguably the worst team in the NFL

I do agree that discipline is lacking; pre snap penalties are absolutely about discipline
lining up in the neutral Zone is the absolute dumbest of all

All three might price themselves out of Dallas, and the Joneses will use having to pay Micah as the reason for not re-signing them.
I know it’s a dream. I just heard Broaddus starting the trade Parsons talk again because of what Stephen said the other day. I hope someone has the balls to say something to Jerry about how the Eagles are able to keep everyone and sign players after the game in Philadelphia in two weeks.

Osa stepping it up just in time to collect the bag. How nice.

I thought third round picks were supposed I be quality NFL starters immediately. No need for free agency.

If I know Jerry and his annoying kid, Osa made himself 50m guaranteed yesterday. Signing him and using a first on Mazi means they have sufficiently invested in the DT position and are in good shape there.

Golston to Washington is like the free space in the middle of a bingo card.

Sadly, I've heard too many defend the Joneses' disproven claim that they can't do anything because of those big contracts. All you have to do is look at a team like the Eagles (paying $51 million APY for a QB, paying $32 million APY for No. 1 receiver, paying $25 million APY for No. 2 receiver, paying three OL $20 million-plus APY and somehow can afford to bring in Barkley). The Eagles have 11 contracts averaging $12.5 million plus. We have seven.

Lurie and Howie has put the Joneses in a clown suit all season long. You know what I believe makes the Eagles so good? I don’t think they worry about beating Dallas. They look to beat Kansas City. Goodness I hate the city but have respect for the franchise. If their coach screws it up in the playoffs, he will get fired. That is the way you run an NFL team.

.......and it will be the same next year with no discipline and a QB who will be even less mobile than ever. Fix the D a little and yet our QB will have us at 2-4 with a QB controversy. Bet that!

I just think they look to improve their roster and understand that the draft isn't the only way to do that. They are good about getting rid of players at the right time (often getting a good draft pick for them) and replacing them. They treat free agents like mercenaries. Bring them in, use them as much as you need to and get rid of them. It doesn't always work out, but they are willing to admit their mistakes and move on quickly to retool.

For those who hate it when the Eagles are used an example of doing it right, the Detroit Lions could be used instead. They also have a top-paid QB ($53 million), top-paid WR ($30 million) and three OL making $13.5 million plus. They don't have as many making over $12.5 million as either Dallas or the Eagles, though. But like us, their best pass rusher is due to be paid big, and they are paying much more at the RB position. That didn't keep them from going out and adding DT DJ Reader for $11 million APY, Marcus Davenport for $6.5 million and CB Amik Robertson for two years, $9.25 million. They also traded for another corner, former second-round pick Carlton Davis. Our highest contract for an outside FA was $3 million.
